Well they robbed me of (the false hope of) everlasting lifeâ„¢ I don't feel the need to hasten the process, so as to the funeral question, being now alone in the world, there's a funeral home here on a river that flows to the ocean, a good place for my ashes, or in a receptacle within, doesn't really matter much because, you see, I'll be dead :)

Funeral plan ?
by Chook into all you young and old alike what would you have as a farewell party from this earth , would you party with friends months before or would you go out quietly and rather have input into the wake.
i have heard of these duck hunters who put their ashes in shotgun shells.

Please tell me: what is a relationship with the "person" Jehovah like?
by Maryo indoes anyone out there know of any jws that have talked about what their personal relationship with jehovah was like?
for example, hearing his voice, a certain feeling?
an intellectual understanding?

Now they're using animation to emotionally manipulate babies and toddlers, "do you want to make Jehovah sad?" "If you door knock/give money you will make Jehovah happy!" Wow! what power we possess! (sarcasm) I was one of these kids 60 years ago and now it's worse, btw LIKE this comment and make Jehovah's heart glad!! :) J seems rather emotionally unstable to me but I guess that's just me lol

Biblical JW Theism starts with the 4 Cardinal Qualities,
You might be more interested in Pantheism (Spinoza)
and an non Aristotelian god

Some of us liken this relationship to a child who has an imaginary playmate

Uninvited...again...
by Anders Andersen inso a week or so ago we received an invitation for a jw friend's wedding anniversary party in the mail.it was addressed to 'the andersen family' (and not just mrs. andersen & baby andersen) which was pleasant of course, but not a huge surprise given the type of person who said friend is.. however, i already prepared myself to be uninvited after all.
some time ago, there was a congregation farewell party/get-together.to my surprise, i was invited too!
an elder specifically came over to my house to tell me.then some weeks later, he visited again, being terribly sorry but the invitation was revoked as the congregation got concerned over my possible presence.. with that debacle in mind, i wasn't surprised to receive a message from my friend 'hey are you at home?

I like to know where I stand,
If I'm out fine,
Thank you for letting me know,
I will adjust my life accordingly,

Did you ever have a discussion with an apostate that helped your journey out.
by jwfacts inthere seems to be a number of different ways that apostates try to get jehovah's witnesses realise they do not have the truth, ranging from subtle comments to aggressive attacks.
do you have any that looking back helped you finally leave.
some of the methods include:.

I have to add Louise' (Katie Kitten's) "Stand Up For Jehovah" Youtube series for providing some much needed intelligent humor when it was most needed,
As was brought out, in contrast angry ranting just plays into the Watch Tower's characterizations,

I went through 1975 and decided to listen to their "explanations" and continued to buy into God's Kingdom (meaning the Kingdom of JWs) as mankind's only hope,
Everyone was terribly sure the end was coming before all the old folks died,
To better answer your question: in 1977 I was reading about JWs in the Encyclopedia Brittanica about Russell and Pyramidology!
At this point I started to raise a family and didn't want to make my "doubts" known and maybe "stumble" them so,
I kept my thoughts to myself,
What floored me was the 1995 shelving of the generation end time (weasels!!)
What I also couldn't get was how everything went on business as usual,
I wanted out at this point but I couldn't figure out how,
Over time my circumstances changed,
I told my wife I did not believe this religion,
I stopped dead,
I spent many many hours reading, sneaking CofC at the library,
Many more hours daily at Starbucks,
Your site was most helpful Paul,
A lot of pieces fell into place once I allowed myself to read EVERYTHING,
There was no one to talk to I did this on my own,
Everthing is out there today but most won't look because they're scared,
They fear Armageddon loss of Everlasting LifeTM,
They, in most cases believe that they exclusively have the "truth"
These are not rational concepts which makes them so hard to break,
In any event, in some cases such as mine, they'll realize that they do have a mind that they can use, that they don't need the 'sons' of Pyramidologists telling them what to do! Lol
The Truth is out there!
