I would be surprised if they expand the gb to 12. That would be diluting each of the current GB powers almost in half. These guys seem pretty power hungry to me so I just dint think they will do that. If they do theN that seems like at least a small sign of humility on their part.

Speculation Fall AGM
by Poztate ina lot of comments have been made about possible big changes at the agm in the fall.. comments range from changes to the blood doctrine or who compose the one hundred and forty four thousand.. my speculation is.... (and if someone else had this kind of thread i am not stealing from you..just never read it).
the door to door as we know it will cease to exist.
the publishing of a monthly public wt and awake will end.. instead each month a tract with different subjects and a redirect to jw.org will come out.

Special Campaign In August Any Observations So Far

he raised his voice in enthusiasm and three times over ten minutes boomed out these same questions, are you ready brothers?

I have been wondering the same thing. They didn't read any auxiliary pioneers at our hall. if they require all MS to aux pioneer I won't do it. I can barely stomach the four hours a month that I do now. So far there hasn't been Any pressure. August is a big vacation month for people. Also kids go back to school. It's a hard month for the R and F to pioneer. I'm curious if our hall is going to step up for this "momentous" month.

if you havent watched it yet, have a look at it...."an animated series that touches hearts".
(yes, its well done...and they certainly like to do a lot of boasting about their technical skills etc...).

I have been hearing the idea that an outside agency makes these videos. I'm very curious if that is true. Just to say that a jdub owns an agency and oversees and assists in the process wouldn't seem goofy to me at all. I know that they have been asking for non bethelite jdub help with their phone apps as well.
if you look at the first couple of videos the characters eyes are messed up. But as the videos have progressed the eyes have become much better. To me that is evidence that this is not being done by an outside firm. an outside firm would already have worked the bugs out of their process.

Roll call of those of us stuck in for our spouse or whos spouse is still in!
by BU2B ini just wanted to get a feel for how many here have awakened to ttatt but are still carrying on some jw activities to pacify them and keep the peace.
also trying to hear from those who have left, but whose spouse has stayed in the wt and in the marriage.. for me it comes down to my own mental anguish.
i am mentally tortured by attending the meetings, yet i feel compelled to because my wife would kill me with her personality if i had her drag 2 small girls by herself there.

Live in Midwest Still in as MS. Trying to reach wife, totally unsuccessfull so far. I have a happy life and I need to figure out how to leave without ruining that. I have been enjoying everyone's comments that are in a similar situation. Thanks for sharing!

How long before the Wt fully embraces the internet.
by joe134cd inthe way things are going i believe that wt will start encouraging its members to start setting up web sites.
i can certainly see them loosening their stand on it.
the example i will give is the video showing the dancing in the kh, and jw defender which i believe is wt in hiding.

I don't see them letting people set up there own websites. That would go against there control freak ways. I think they are going to double down on demonizing anything apostate.

Did I ever fear jehovah?

even when i was 19, a pioneer an ms and the local golden boy i clearly remember lying about my field service time every month.
if i really feared jehovah there's no way i would of done that.

BBC Radio 4 reference to 607 Babylonian conquest?
by 88JM inwas listening to bbc radio 4 late sunday night, and in a programme about migration, they referenced the "babylonian conquest of jerusalem in 607 b.c.
" which caught my attention.. did they not mean 587 b.c., or did i understand it wrong?.

The Ravings of Trolls Distracts FOCUS From Real Watchtower Scandals
by cofty inmy thread was inspired by gentledawn's insightful comment about the effect the events in wales had on her jw husband.... hope any lurkers out there can filter out the signal (storys and experiences like this) to noise (the current trolls running amok on the forums) ratios.
this the problem with those who focus on outrageous fantasies about the watchtower.
it distracts from the real issues that need to be highlighted.. what happened in wales was for real.
