  this cult is getting really shameless.

  the wt study was always supposed to be for discussion of 'the deep truths' of the bible.

  the wt may have always been filled with utter nonsense, but at least it had the appearance of a topical discussion of bible doctrine.

  If you didn't like the presentation (say, it was bashing the normal sex drive), you could use the other rag or wait 2 weeks (you might get one against gossip and slander, or anti-smoking). Now, if you get a bad presentation, you are stuck with it for the whole month--and, if they simply leave single page wastes of paper, forever.

  I distinctly remember a day when APing, placing 16 mags because I believed in the message, and it came across to the HH. Other mags, I said, WTH do I do with this crap.

  With the dumb-downed drivel of today's mags, publishers mumble:

  "Hi, I'm a volunteer ... Please take these, I'll earn a merit badge."

  Just started watching on Netflix.

  I'm hooked. (Wished Breaking Bad continued.)

  I so thought of JW's Cult Cart and NH after NH after NI after NI work. (Although the walkers do have more personality than most JW's.)

  Cognitive Dissonance and my JW Mum!

  so, my mum is a massively obedient little dub!

  i knew this before showing more negativity towards the borg.

  i recently fell into the trap of shooting my mouth off about all the things that i felt were wrong with the borg, after her ass kissing comments got the better of me.. my other half's grandmother has also learned ttatt over the past few months as has most of her immediate familly in fact.

  I remember not long after my exit quoting something to my parents from the Proclaimers book. My mum responded by sarcasticly asking my dad, "and how old is the Proclaimers book?"

  My wife said the same thing about a WT article I referenced. ?????

  Shouldn't WT literature be obligated to have printed on it a "Best Before Date?"

  Do you suffer from WELTSCHMERZ?

  definition of weltschmerz1: mental depression or apathy caused by comparison of the actual state of the world with an ideal state 2: a mood of sentimental sadness.

  as a jw, horrific news and reports of terrible suffering and tragedy never especially shocked or disturbed me because of the conviction i had that it was all temporary suffering caused by satan and the demons and it was soon to end and be replaced by a wonderful new system where all those who suffered and died would be resurrected.

  it took the edge off life's harshness.. these fantastical beliefs innoculated me against really feeling and empathisizing with the reality of the horror and suffering experienced by so many in this world.

  I spoke with 3 Muslims this week.

  One was a female Ismaili Muslim, whom another sort of looked down upon because they accept a prophet subsequent to Muhammad. I told her my story and, like so many non-JW's, she was stiunned at the brutality of JW's.

  The 3rd was a young, attractive Caucasian convert wearing a hijab. Her absolute enthusiasm for Islam was infectious, more than that of 99% of JW's just punching the clock. She was indignant with the terrorists who bring dishonour to the religion.

  Any Muslim I have ever met is nothing short of a gracious gentleman/lady.

  IMO, Islam is not going down.
