Warwick and transport to meetings

i would imagine that most brooklyn bethelites attended congo meetings via subway.. how do they manage transport from warwick?.

Haha - so you're presuming that the Bethelites at Warwick are actually being let out of the compound???

Otherwise there are about a dozen or so congregations within an approximate 15 mile radius - either car-share or maybe even Bethel minibus. I think it would be expected that the local congregations with Bethelites would contribute towards their travel costs from congregation funds.

But, yeah, moving out of the big city - Brooklyn (and in deed Mill Hill) - is probably not so cool for most Bethelites, congregation-wise.

many here have asked how the average witness in australia is taking the news of the arc findings and conclusions.. is it affecting them?.

sorry to say, hardly any are even aware of the facts.

those that are, have been convinced that all the publicity is "apostate lies and satanic propaganda".

It has NOT been reported in the Herald Sun print edition, either yesterday, Tuesday 29 November 2016 (front page headline - War of Roses - Reservoir Tragedy), or today Wednesday 30 November 2016 (front page headline - Dad Left to Die - Asthma Storm Crisis)

Interestingly, in today's paper (Wed 30 Nov 2016) there is a small item at the top right hand side of page 19 headlined "Sex abuse hits soccer" regarding the on-going historical child sex abuse investigation in UK's youth soccer

Interesting, but unlikely to generate a following

I was being steadily distracted by what I can only assume was a behind-the-scenes clearance process of epic proportions. On the screener I watched, each programming segment was preceded by a title card reading "The Church disputes many of the statements made by those appearing in this program," directing viewers to additional information on the A&E website, while several segments were also preceded by specific denials from the Church of Scientology, text from official letters sent as recently as early November. Back when things were shot on film, a movie delivered straight from the developer to the projection booth was described as being wet, and were that idiom still relevant, it would surely apply to Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, which is engrossing, but probably not as captivating as what's taking place to get the show to air.
The "Coming up this season ..." reel features Remini saying, "We're hearing the same story over and over again," and that's honestly my fear when it comes to eight episodes of Scientology and the Aftermath.

i have a feeling that the 2 witness rule will be revised in 2017 and made to look like it was jehovah's proper time.

I am not surprised.
The JWs make up a tiny, tiny portion of the world's population and they are an insular group that the rest of the world cares little about.

Well, firstly The Guardian took time to include it on their website - many newspapers worldwide, haven't even done that.

Actually though The Guardian has one of the smallest print circulation of any UK daily newspaper with around 160,000 daily copies - in comparision to the 225,584 people who turned up for the JW Memorial in Britain last year. But I digress

The Guardian has traditionally been the newspaper of choice for those who either work or have an interest in the 'public sector' including professional health care workers and social workers etc - that's the very audience that would probably be amongst the most interested in the ARC hearings.

The Guardian also just seem to have 'form' when it comes to reporting on the JWs

Which newspaper broke the JW / UN Membership scandal? And not just the one article in the print newspaper, but with two follow up articles in the printed newspaper too?

'Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath' is a compelling, if unsophisticated, investigation of church

In recent years the church, founded by science fiction writer L. Ron Hubbard, has spawned a cottage industry of journalistic exposes and jaw-dropping memoirs in which former devotees allege abusive, cult-like behavior and outlandish beliefs.
At this point, Scientology is as much an active religion as it is fodder for the various juicy tell-alls that have familiarized readers of People magazine with once-obscure concepts like Operating Thetans and the Bridge to Total Freedom.
Unlike Alex Gibney’s Going Clear (HBO), this series is a strictly basic-cable affair that relies on some regrettable reality-TV conventions. There are hokey re-creations, lots of generic stock footage, an interview with Remini that has the look and feel of a “Real Housewives” confessional and superfluous montages highlighting the drama in episodes ahead.
Remini comes off as authentic, even if “Scientology and the Aftermath” can also seem self-serving. (Her name is in the title, after all.) Remini may have paid a price for speaking out but leaving the church has also undeniably boosted her visibility.
And however well-intentioned Remini seems to be, there’s something a tad ironic about an investigation of a celebrity-driven cult that plays like a star vehicle.

The Guardian Newspaper, Tuesday 29 November 2016 - and the front page features a picture-lead headline: "‘Have your cake and eat it’ – is this the Tory Brexit plan?" The second headline is: "Abuse coach in hospital as police widen investigation" (there's a relatively recent and ongoing story about sexual abuse in English youth football)

The story about the Australian Royal Commission does NOT appear to feature ANYWHERE in today's 42-page print edition (74-pages if you include the Sports and G2 inserts).

Must say, I am surprised - would have thought that the Guardian at least would have printed something in their newspaper, oh well - maybe they're holding back in order to run a longer and in-depth account of the ARC / JW proceedings like The Washington Post?? But who knows??

BUT what is certain is what Hecce warned us about last week when a major article exposing the JW's was printed in Spain....

The elders are receiving electronically instructions from the COs to go out and buy from the stands all the copies of this newspaper edition.

The story about the Australian Royal Commission does NOT appear to feature ANYWHERE in today's 58-page print edition.

BUT - and we'll know how big a 'but' that is this weekend..... The Washington Post has a weekly 'Religion' feature each Saturday - so maybe they're holding back in order to compile a more in-depth article / exposé for this coming Saturday, 3 December 2016?.....
