I married my inactive dub...and after over a decade he went active again and things have been crazy. This religion does a number on the minds of the followers. I am so sorry you are learning the hard way. I will say that had I known how this religion and members can be, I would have ran away as fast as I could and never married him. Sending positive thoughts and an e-hug your way, I know it hurts and is confusing.

Perfect Relationship, He Still Broke Up With Me
by tiff21390 inlast month, my best friend of four years and boyfriend of six months came home from a jehovah's witness convention.
he'd been acting strangely the entire weekend and i knew something was wrong.
i initiated a discussion and he said, "essentially our relationship is wrong and i'm not supposed to be with you.

I realized I've been *hit on alot
by skeeter1 inabout a month ago, i realized that i didn't really care about my still-in jw family.
i just want to be left alone by them.
they caused me so much grief.

Skeeter, you sound like an amazing person...you have overcome a toxic upbringing and it seems as though you maintained kindness and humbleness. Stay strong!

Surreal experience last night.
by objectivetruth inrecently a jw friend that my wife & i knew 3 years ago added me on facebook, after i accepted the request she invited me to a dinner that her and her husband are holding next month.. i imagined that she was unaware of our apostasy, so i declined the invitation on the basis of not wanting to ruin her dinner after the rest of her guests fled at our presence.. i'm never sure how old friends will react when i tell them that i'm no longer a jw.. usually their response is "..... permanent-silence......".
her response went something like this, " we are all out!
everyone that is coming is out we all look forward to seeing you guys so much" it turns out that there will be 6 people at the dinner all friends of ours from a congregation that we attended a few years back.. they have all left the organization recently.. pretty crazy experience..

NLP, Subliminal Messages and the WT Writing Department
by 00DAD ina few years ago i became interested in the subject of neuro-linguistic programming (nlp).
while the core concepts of nlp have been largely discredited as new-age pseudo-science, there is no doubt that there is at least some validity to the idea.
words and images remain the key way we communicate.

I have NLP training and agree...and recognized how the wt uses emotional manipulation, anchors, etc. They very clearly understand and know exactly the impact they want to have.

And the smurfs appreciate the color choice. One witness, while running feverishly from her accidental run in with smurfs, overheard one smurf say to another "it's about smurfin time!"

Lol advertise advertise advertise. A man at the convention, in response to a sister asking why they were all standing together to pass out the new release, laughed and said "advertise advertise advertise!" She laughed back and agreed. I didn't know what to think...we're they being sarcastic or serious?

I have been trying to get answers from the witnesses I study with, my husband, etc. No one can provide a good answer for the blood doctrine. No one even knew about the former stance on vaccines and transplants. So sad how many lose their life for a reason that can't be truly explained.

New Article in JW.ORG "Should Christians Drink Tea?"
by EdenOne inshould christians drink tea?.
would you like a cup of tea?.
this seemingly innocent question has been asked countless times, and is regarded as a gesture of courtesy and hospitability in many parts of the world, in both eastern and western culture.

What is up with the epidemic of sinkholes?
by EndofMysteries inthis is definitely not a thing where media is paying more attention, they are definitely on the rise.
too bad the gb didn't think of foretelling that years ago haha.
i have only 2 theories, 1 is perhaps it's due to pesticides and acid rain, and if that is the case, then it will get real bad.

HeyThere
This has been happening for several years at least...A former coworker still sends me articles about them from time to time...we always used to discuss what the cause was for these dang sinkholes...and my husband forbade me from talking about it around him because it started to scare him...one possible factor is the removal of water from underground by the bottled water companies...really there are likely many different causes. I wrote a book (fiction) about weather control and ran wild with some theories there...and the sinkholes motivated my book.
