  as i journey through life, i take a path not traveled by others, or so it would seem.. i reach out, sometimes in tears, more often with hope, that another sole wanderer.

  I was impressed with the report. I am glad they included Candence Conti. That was the case that woke me up.

  The sad thing is most JWs will dismiss these cases as an isolated incident not a systematic problem.

  I don't see why they can't get nulight. They have "refined" things before.

  The other dangerous idea is "not bringing reproach on Jehovah's organization." I think that idea is what really prevents elders and parents from reporting.

  This issue is the reason i am an exjw. I went though this when i was young. I applaud everyone who was involved with making this issue public.

  more than 100 people have contacted the guardian with allegations of child sexual abuse and other mistreatment in jehovah’s witness communities across the uk.. former and current members, including 41 alleged victims of child sexual abuse, described a culture of cover-ups and lies, with senior members of the organisation, known as elders, discouraging victims from coming forward for fear of bringing “reproach on jehovah” and being exiled from the congregation and their families.. a guardian investigation also heard from 48 people who experienced other forms of abuse, including physical violence when they were children, and 35 who witnessed or heard about others who were victims of child grooming and abuse.. the stories told to the guardian ranged from events decades ago to more recent, and many of those who came forward have now contacted the police.. they told the guardian about:.

  What is this "religion"?

  for a long time, i was convinced jehovah witnesses were just people preaching the word of god in a different way than other christians.

  i was shown the real truth over the past few months.

  i've been friends with this guy for over 5 years.

  These stories break my heart. As soon as you said JW , I knew the ending of the story. You were his trial sent by Satan and your JW was victorious. How could you compete with everlasting life on paradise? It was better for him to say goodbye now than to watch you die at Armageddon.

  i know there are some here that are going through some tough times.

  some of you do not believe in god.

  some are not sure.. i was told recently by a friend to pray to god for help and he would comfort me.. my first impulse is to pray.
