  the bible does say that the "day of jehovah" (armageddon) would be associated with the sun becoming dark followed by the moon turning to blood.

  but the moon turning to blood is specific to a total lunar eclipse.

  kimberlee norris began evaluating these cases in july 2002. with some 2000 cases to choose from, norris and partner gregory love came up with a rigid profile of what kind of case and where.

  love and norris decided only to take cases where they could prove the church knew its member was a perpetrator and placed him in a position of authority anyway.

  1 chronicles 28:9 "and you, my son solomon, acknowledge the god of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought.

  if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

  is the word "forever" literal or figurative?

  What comforts you when you no longer believe in a ressurrection ?

  our family just lost someone dear and very close, a faithful jw.

  as we went through the entire funeral services and meeting long time brothers and sisters, who in general have been very kind and warm towards us, we realize that the hope of resurrection is a meaningless utopia for us, like a fairytale for little children.

  we don't have faith in it anymore, and serves us of no comfort.

  If your idea of charity work is handing out WT publications and starting studies...

  If it takes you 5 min. to walk up a drive way or you feel a compulsion to tie your shoes before knocking at a door...

  If you start to panic if you are left alone with a member of the opposite sex because there is no chaperone

  if when referring to "where the need is greater",  you are not talking about Helping people in "physical" need.

  If you know the locations of all the gas stations and laundry mats from your house to the Kingdom Hall.

  i was expecting you, but not so early in the day.. i saw you walk up to my neighbor fred's house last week while i was out getting the newspaper, once again tossed into the bushes by a careless newspaper boy.

  today, it's the usual routine of rising at dawn, fetching the paper from the bushes -- where else?

  -- and settling into my comfy, tattered wing back with the first of several cups of coffee.

  hi all, i haven't posted here in a while, felt like a break and have been insanely busy, i don't think too much about jw stuff now, but wanted to pop in anyway.

  have i missed anything recently?.

  i am very happy, much to my surprise, i think it would be nice to go back to the end of 2013 and tell the depressed and lonely version of me that he can't even comprehend how good life could be.
