It would have to be a head shot, since his hand would be on the trigger to detonate. A heart ,head shot ..maybe detonate the explosives. I would take the head shot regardless.

2017 Conventions
by Maryo inin view of the terrorist attacks going on in the world right now, as well as the high degree of animosity towards jehovah's witnesses as a result of their shuning practices, etc., i think it would be wise for the wts to discontinue meeting for large conventions and use live streaming and broadcasts instead.
even with the increased security measures being put in place this year, it would not be surprising if some incidents take place.
has anyone heard any talk in this regard?.

With the exception of the the Jws and maybe a tiny few of non Jws the conventions are largely unknown to the public. Or ignored by them. Unlikely terrorists will be interested in a marginalized religious group"s conventions when they have more attention-getting events to target.

Did you ever have a discussion with an apostate that helped your journey out.
by jwfacts inthere seems to be a number of different ways that apostates try to get jehovah's witnesses realise they do not have the truth, ranging from subtle comments to aggressive attacks.
do you have any that looking back helped you finally leave.
some of the methods include:.

I was always bored at the meetings and most ( 98 percent ) of the speakers pissed me off. They couldn't give a talk worth a damn. The hypocrisy of The dubs with their false smiles and unbiblical attitudes(preach something but do just the opposite) falsifying service time etc made me seriously doubt this was the truth. Then one day at a public talk the speaker was quoting " when under trial let no one say that they are being tried by god..." and then it clicked that the trial of Job was sponsored by the Hobogod. Contradiction. I went into Randys website and read Barbara Anderson. Then JW facts and this website. Got hold of CoC . By this time I told my wife I no longer believed in religion or the existence of a god given the empirical evidence that no such entity exists and she was pleased. She isn't a witness by the way. The rest was a fade and away from the cult. I wanted to write them and tell them to go fcuk themselves but my wife dissuaded me saying it didnt matter, wasn't needed. The fact that I had mentally severed myself from them was reason enough not to have anything further to do with them. She had a hard time for the seven years I was baptized. Said it had changed me and made me quite fanatical. I now know how true that was.

"Privileges"
by minimus inwithin the organization, jehovah's witnesses know that they must be dutiful and set an example for "worldly ones" as well as for their own brotherhood.
if a witness fails in setting the proper example, they may lose some 'privileges"..... what privileges did you look to have and what privileges did you lose?

I was first offered the privilege of being "the library overseer". I said I would do it but never put in a days work. Then they called me for a meeting and asked me if I have aspirations as they were considering me for an MS. I told them I didn't have time to take care of the lib. So how does that qualify me for a MS? They said that they understood I had family to think of and that not every one could turn in requisite hours- I was turning in between 2 and eight hours. One month I turned in just one. A year before I faded I was turning in zero hours on the cooksheet. Coming back to the story, I told them I was not interested as I better things to do with my time . It shocked them no end and one guy couldn't understand how I could turn the privilege down! One year later I began my fade .

Have Jehovah's Witnesses Become Boring?
by David_Jay inokay, that new video about 1975 has got people talking, and yes, the child abuse cases will always require us to remain vigilant...but after my having left in the late 1980s/early 1990s, it seems all the real "exciting" stuff is gone.
when i left the witnesses were still preaching that the "generation that was old enough to understand the events of 1914" will not pass away before armageddon comes.
no blood cards were our badges (not that stupid jw logo) and that card meant what it said, "no blood"!

As far as I'm concerned its not they who are relevant but their web of deceit that continues to entrap new unsuspecting ones every single day. Black widows that they are, their web is still deadly -though rendered ineffective for those of us who are out - nay lethal for 8+million who are still in. More so for those countries where the web isn't available or affordable and where the population is susceptible to their poison. Thats where they are at present.
Here in the states the foreign language congregations are getting the most growth. The refugees and immigrants are being targeted big time by these guys. In particular the Arabic, Russian, Tagalog, Hindi, to name just four , are morphing into congregations from just being small groups a few years ago. Consequently expanding into two or more congregations in just four years.I'm talking about the greater Los Angeles area.
Boring as the religion may seem to have become- I agree on this - they are as venomous as as ever to all unsuspecting ones.

JW and Aliens
by CitizenofEarth ini have several times asked people in my congregation about aliens, and what the org would do if they appeared, and everyone stated that aliens dont exist.
i did this since this is of great interest to me, and the universe generally amazes me.. everything is apparently centered around earth, and gods ability to be better at ruling than satan.
and i will point out that i havent even been ruled by god yet, as the bible says, so i still dont get how satans inablity to rule proves gods ability to rule... what do you guys think would happen if real extraterrestial life was confirmed - the intelligent sort of life.

Is the Jehovah's Witnesses religion based upon False Prophesy ?
by Finkelstein inthis is probably the most qualitatively focused question that gets examined and investigated concerning the jws religion in a intent to derive an honest and correct answer to .
my opinion based from facts derived from evaluating the jws's doctrines and teachings compared to the teaching within the bible itself is outstandingly yes.
the probable reason for this is really not too hard to accept once its reflectively realized that the core operation of the jws is to publicly distribute the literature the wts's publishes.. doctrines were created and proliferated toward that agenda as they still are to this day.. the imposing fear of the soon to come armageddon, the supposed " this generation " , the said to come persecution of the jws because of the "end times" are all connecting adjectives that created a phobia or psychosis of fear that the wts uses and exploits to spur on the continuing proliferation and distribution of its own published works.. the unfortunate prevailing circumstances is that the wts creates a state of mental imbalance indoctrinated into people's consciousness who become strongly attached to this organization to their own peril and harm.. some have been so mentally wrapped up in this organization in their thinking consciousness and social attachment they couldn't resolve that engagement toward freeing themselves and their only resolve was to take their own life.. yes unfortunately suicide is closely related to the jws organization and disgustingly the wts leaders have used these suicides as vehicles of exploitation of see what happens when we leave the organization, again the element of fear is further exploited .

"They saw error in other religions and ...for a new improved religion."
How far back did they venture in their salient efforts to " take a stand.." ? Apparently not far enough to discover that their Hobogod was a take on another ancient god!
Thus rendering all religions false and theirs, a duplicitous preying upon all those who are vulnerable.

Has the Bible been redacted so that YAHWEH can be promoted to EL's position as Almighty God?
by I_love_Jeff infor background, read: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/yahweh, the section, "iron age i: el, yahweh, and the origins of israel.
" "el and his sons made up the assembly of the gods, each member of which had a human nation under his care, and a textual variant of deuteronomy 32:8–9 describes the sons of el, including yahweh, each receiving his own people.
"el, the kind, the compassionate,' 'the creator of creatures,' was the chief of the canaanite gods, and he, not yahweh, was the original 'god of israel'—the word 'israel' is based on the name el rather than yahweh.

Exactly the idea propounded by the leaders of this cult. They curse us too. Death at Armageddon to all apostates. The woman's cussing and words are reflected in the shunning scheme emblazoned, nay, seared into the mindset of the rank and file.
Thanks for all the info. You provide on the forum.
