in mission impossible 3, ethan hunt (aka tom cruise) and his protege (aka keri russell) have an explosive pellet implanted in their heads through their nose by the bad guys as a way to control them.

the only way to to stop it from detonating is to use a defibrillator or some device to send massive electric shocks to the body, thus short circuiting the deadly implant.

hunt's protege doesn't get the help she needed in time, and she dies.

I empathize with your situation. Although I was associated with JW's for over 20 years I was a JW for just 7. My exit was easy knowing all the while I was going to tell them to FU and FO If they ever came around to question me. Those of us who have had it easy when exiting, do not realize the trauma, fear and ..if I may...PTSD associated with leaving the cult. My heart goes out to those who have made the break after many years or... all their lives living the lie that is the JW religion. I SALUTE ALL who have left this effing cult and are trying to put their hearts minds and lives together. I understand the uphill task that such ones are experiencing - shunning and rejection feom near and dear ones among other struggles both emotional and financial

Especially the aged among us who are stuggling to adjust to the real world. My heart goes out to all of you . I wish each and every one of you an earnest and heartfelt adjustment to the new life outside the cult. May each and everyone of you find the happiness that each of us seek in this life. And may each and everyone of you eject everything about this cult from your minds. To that endeavour I urge you to strive towards and cherish the hope that you will be steel - willed towards doing. Once again I salute you for your courage in exiting this cult.

back in 2005, i remember sitting in the stadium in the special rows with 42 others.

8000 people were looking at us - maybe even with a binocular - while listening to the speech.

my family and my friends among them, being all proud of me.. i don't remember being enthusiastic.

Became a JW 30 years later... fast forward 7 years and realized the bible was a book of lies and the GB was it's spawn...an incestuous pit of corrupt philosophy and predetorial charlatans masquerading as the answer to all of man's problems.

Why it took me 7 years to see through them is a mystery to me...No not so. Information about them only became available to me 3 years into my sojourn as a JW.

this is how the conversation went.. me: did you realize that one of their kingdom songs was a copy from the jurassic park theme song.. jdub: where did you find this.

me: hey i've got the down load to the movie, and that theme song has a striking resemblance to that song you just played.

I'll start attending the memorial of your man jesus whose god is Jehova as is yours- when you come back with a justifiable answer as to why yu protect pedophiles..and in effect your god and his son jesus since he made that rule..with a rule that has no relevance in this modern world? There are policing methods that can establish rape quickly if the victim is allowed to be examined by a medical professional immediately after the attack but your organization prevents that from happening by encouraging victims and their parents to be quiet about it and wait on Jehovah.

Assembly Dramas:They were so bad.... but.... you waited for them to break away from the monotony!

you do remember the four day assemblies... sitting outdoors being fried in the sweltering heat,getting heat stroke in the middle of july in an outdoor baseball stadium.sitting outdoors from 9:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. was so much fun while you wore a suit,long sleeve shirt and a tie while your brain fried.

mom's who had children to take care of,lug strollers,feed all the kids,take them for bathroom breaks and try to not faint from the heat.. the sound and audio was always breaking and barely audible from the wind,airplanes flying over and (if you attended the cicero,illinois circuit )you would smell horse manure from the horse stables next door.. you know that you are a jehovah's witness.... when the only excitement waiting for the drama... where brothers and sisters dress up in ancient cloths,fake beards,fake rocks and fake soldier uniforms and wave their hands incessantly to pretend that they are acting out a drama.the excitement was unbearable!.

I've seen school plays that are superior in every way to the crap presented in the JW dramas. What used to freak me out was the way they spoke of the dramas after - as if they had just witnessed a Tony winning performance worthy of being cast on Broadway. That's the problem with JW land . Conditioned mentally to believe everything they do is the best.Like their public speaking. The crappy gestures and injunctions given out by a long outdated book that they use. That make for crappy speakers that they produce. Even the bible reading was pathetic. Especially the eldubs. I have never been more bored by anything I've seen or heard than the dramas , talks and bible reading at the JW performances.
