  the rothschild family will not allow the aussies to take any significant action against their religious wing (mormons, jws, adventists, etc.).

  the worst outcome for the borg will be a relatively small fine and a deadline to change their rules.

  The evidence produced is now available for those who want to take this to court. Documents such as those presented help the cases of many who would normally not take action. That's one good thing to come out of it. It is now 'evidence', gained in a lawful manner and held on record.

  The rest is about revealing and in a way shaming organizations. There is also the idea planted into legislators minds that a fund, a compensation is the out come that should be incorporated into the law as a par for the course. The RC is not finished it is adjourned until some aspects are researched.

  Can disassociated ones get reinstated without proving repentance?

  one of the jw high-ups questioned by the australian royal commission (i think it was o'brien) stated that those who had disassociated (as opposed to being disfellowshipped) do not have to undergo a lengthy reinstatement procedure of proving repentance over many months, but can simply ask to be reinstated immediately.

  is this true?

  has anyone heard of this ever happening?.

  maksutov, The fact is, one of my family disassociated themselves from the JWreligion.

  If this relative goes back to attending, there will be the usual interrogation and a disfellowshipping due to the life style that has been led. We both know this and remain quiet for this very reason.

  anyone watching the inquiry would have heard the org's attorney asking that the documents outlining the stucture and mechanics of the wbts be kept confidential.

  all this subversive and clandestine behavior is not helping their image.

  what do you all suppose is potentially damnimg in these documents?

  The society has told all WT congregations to hand over "all" money to America, except for a small amount say $5,000 that may be used for maintenance....so...if the speakers and microphones blow up, tough.

  My totally in family paid 15.000 to have the speaker system updated for their local hall.

  Then a few short years later they were moved to hall that is in disrepair............Interesting.

  No large assemblies here in Australia this year too.....all cancelled due to lack of funds.

  No kidding, it's official from straight from her elder sons gob and the elder I spoke with.

  WT lawyer may have been concerned to see so much funding being shipped off to America. They were told that they don't owe debts anymore, but they must continue to pay what their original debts amounted to. Those halls that are out right owned were to hand over deed titles, ................and keep sending all monies to the WT headquarters.

  The WTlawyers don't want that coming out do they? And that's just one angle.

  How big a deal is the royal commission..? It seems to be not much...

  my understanding (very limited and maybe flawed) is that this commission has no teeth.

  if thats true why would the org care?

  send a few lawyers, go through the motions but in the end.... its a dog parking on a porch.

  The Royal Commission also established in a public manner this...............That those who are confessed child molesters are dealt with in the congregation. No importance by the WTBTS was given to the "public safety" that should be extended...........That was an excellent revelation and brings up so many potential actions on the part of the Australian Government who allow for the door to door preaching work.

  All of you who have commented here are on track. This was a public forum called the Royal Commission. It was designed to bring to light..............to all! The issues at hand.

  This is how it happens and allows for those who wish to be better informed to watch those proceedings in all their transparent glory.

  This happens to all those who are called upon by the commission. After that......the real work begins....Please trust me on this.

  Oh, and thank you so much to those who sent messages......because those messages were for "all" who were hurt....this is how I saw it. Just good will toward those disdained by WTBTS

  Is this a person with a good back ground in commenting?

  This commission is not over. It may have finished it's public airing, as is normal. However, the commission now goes from state to state. There are over fifty people to be contacted and they have all come from different states. I speak from personal fact. Now the "issues" and the severity of those issues are out, in the public eye...........Now another sort of collecting of evidence is to start. This means all those who came forward "me included" have been contacted and informed of what the next phase will be.

  Recall: There were over fifty people who wrote in, phoned in, sent emails.........that number very likely grew as people watched the disdain with which they were viewed as those camera's rolled.

  They the RC, made a point of contacting everyone and reassuring them. Plus they assigned them a case worker and further contact details..........
