Did you hear that!? His Honour is insisting that Jackson attend the Royal Commission
by umbertoecho ini actually started clapping at that point, as his honour explained to the wt type creep sycophantic slithery lawyer that........" i understand that we all have issues to face in life and .....that is a part of life...........however it has become obvious that this man ....is in such a position to assist with this investigation.....".
it boils down to the fact that stewart outright accused the latest witness of misleading the royal commission and this lead to some document searches which led his honour to conclude that they had been protecting mr jackson.
this was a warm and fluffy moment folks.................brilliant stuff!!!!!

Also, they had made it seem as though Jackson had flown in only very recently, like a week at the most....He had been here since the 14th of July. This did not impress His Honour too much, for he is aware that many of us have dealt with sick family, family who are dying. No doubt McClellan has had to deal with such family matters in his own career. Hell, we all have. So it was a ruse as far as the RC team could see and it had gone on all this week. -

Theocratic Warfare is used here in Australia by the elders conducting your second last part of baptism questions. I was asked if I would be willing to lie to protect fellow witnesses.
That question made me really pause. I said "Do you mean Theocratic Warfare, is this what you are saying that Christ did?"
They sort of hesitated before saying " Well, um...yes. Christ chose not to speak when he felt it was a waste of time"
I thought that was the most outrageous claim I had ever heard. Saying essentially that they thought Christ would lie ........for what ever reason. Then they spoke of instances where "other witnesses" had had to hide fellow witnesses from danger.......
"But what about the fact that Jehovah hates a liar" I said. Silence. "Well, of course that is a perfect God using his perfect abilities" What?!!!
"Oh. So what your saying is that because we are imperfect and subject to certain ailments of the mind, in this imperfectness that we have slumped to. It is okay to lie then".
Incredible but seriously true. I remember this vividly from three years ago. They repeated the question and I said.............."I would protect a woman, but I'm not sure I would go out and protect you for you are the elders and leaders aren't you?"
They said they would get back to me on that one..............

This attempt to get Jackson off the hit list was the last item of the day. Stewart said outright that they had been deliberately misleading the RC. ( I can't remember the guys name now on the the stand) He denied it, and the RC insisted that indeed they had been mislead as to how important this GBJackson is to the Jehovah's Witness religion.
The exchange was so .........sudden, that I flew out of the bathroom stunned and sort of waiting, waiting......waiting for it.............then bang! His Honour is asking that this Jackson be present for this hearing as he is sure that this Jackson will be able to "assist" in these proceedings......Lawyer tries to weezle out of it.........no go

Rodney Spinks' Performance
by maksutov init seems like there has not been as much discussion here about the rc testimony on day 6 (4th august) as there has been about previous days.
i was quite surprised by rodney spinks' testimony, which was a marked contrast to the bungling and inarticulate testimony of the elders that appeared before him.
spinks seemed reasonably co-operative, and a lot more willing to concede points than anyone else has been.

It was Spinks who also tried to divert attention away from the GB. Today that point was referred to by His Honour....
He was a bit of an idiot if you ask me....His compliance was a rehearsed thing in order to create a sort of atmosphere of co-operation.
Don't you see that they are prepped before they go on. The thing is, they are often caught out in the actual print. One of their most condemning printed documents in this case is The Bible!! How ironic. The very book by which they proclaim all truth is no longer a sword against the world, no. It's now a double edged sword........they cannot refute their literalistic take on the bible.

RC and comming legislation
by Bill Covert inthe rc put it to spinks that there is comming legislation comming out of these proceedings, of which mandatory reporting, to be worked out.
criminal charges for those in clergy positions failing to make the report.. in the post "contacted by royal commission today" "umbertoecho" stated that she was encouraged to seek compensation for damages.
mulling that post over in my mind i think the rc will legeslate a means that the victims of jehovah witnesses will be able to gain compensation from the watchtower much like the catholics.

I don't have the energy left to claim money. Honestly, I am so tired from the threats I received long ago and a few weeks ago....I just don't have the energy.
I want others to receive all that they deserve and I really mean that. I am an older woman who has developed a way of living and coping. My hugest reward was in knowing the powers of this Commission. I had some little insight as to the capacity it had for serious change. And I wanted that. I wanted the deceptive answers to be challenged for once and I wanted to see how the team unravelled this awfully self righteous religions attitude toward the world.
This is the sort of compensation I wanted. " A good old shove that in your face and eat it sort of compensation." And the insisting by Stewart and His Honour in having their questions answered, then being quite clear when they thought a lie had been given them. Good stuff to retire on in my opinion.

As his Honour said. It's not Mr Jackson who is ill is it?
No your Honour
It's his father who is ill isn't it?
Yes your Honour.
Well, we all have to cope with thing in life...................I had not been informed of his (high?) importance to this religion.............but it has been brought to my attention now and I see no reason why he cannot appear to assist with this investigation.
