I was at a meeting one time and the elder was giving the talk on "SEX and MARRIAGE" on a Sunday. I always hated this talk and the elder giving it always seemed uneasy with such a bold topic in a mixed age group. Well, right in the middle of the talk, this woman stood up and asked "So, are you saying oral sex is wrong?" Well the elder responses in a political, "your conscience needs to guide you" response and mentioned that if she would like he would talk to her after the meeting. She set down, and he went on, then she stands up and says, "so what is wrong with anal sex" and the elder asked her to be seated and again said "I can talk to you later." The woman started getting louder and louder, about how it was wrong to tell people what they can and can not do in their own bedroom, especially if they were married. Attendants came and asked her to leave and she did with a man who was recently disfellowshipped. She was his girlfriend, and you could tell she wanted to make a scene. It was kind of a weird event and what was really weird, was that after the meeting, everyone was afraid to talk about it. Only later, away from the hall, did we mention it. Weird? So anyone else have something like this happen?

No, but this wacko unbelieving husband came into the night meeting and was trying to drag his wife out. The brothers jumped in and saved her. After that, we had to keep the doors locked during the meeting because he made death threats on the elders in our congo. A brother sat at the door in a chair, to allow you in after meeting started.

I remember a few events with unbelieving spouses at our meetings too. I always thought they were being controled by demons. I could not help it, I was a Witness!

I recall things like this now and like others, I sat and did nothing. I talked about how strange it was. Now I wish I could go back and tell them how kewl they were.

We did have a lady that brought a cutout of Michael Jackson with her and sat it on the chair next to her. She was a bit special. It really was amusing when you are 13. or so.

A homeless guy wandered into our hall one Sunday afternoon, gibbered to himself, then started yelling obscenities, and finally loudly shat his pants. He was escorted out of the hall by my old man. Good times.

We had someones return visit that would loudly yell out answers to the watchtower study without putting his hand up and answer all the rhetorical questions in the talk. I thought that was amusing. He wasnt exactly apostate material though. :P

That's too funny!!! If things like that happened I might have stayed just for the comedy value!

The only thing I remember was a drunk stumbling in and grabbing the mike on a Thursday night! Broke the boredom at least.

But that post has given me 'evil' ideas. tee hee. Might just go to a meeting to cause some bother now.

My uncle used to get drunk and throw beer cans at the people going into the KH. He was an "unbelieving mate". Too bad he never realized all of his persecution was just strengthening their bond to the cult.
