When an Apostate(A) and JW having a conversation.

A : In Genesis 1:26 With who was God speaking to ? Gen 1: 26 And God went on to say: “Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth.”

JW : On that verse? Hrmm, God was talking with Angels.

A : So Man are Created base on "GOD - Angel" image ? Because God said "Let US make man in OUR image, according to OUR likeness"

JW : No, Man was created base on God image.

A : But you just said that God was talking with Angels.

JW : Then God must be talked with Jesus.

A : but Jesus is Mikael Arch-ANGEL is still an Angel ?

    JW : ??

JWs do not believe Jesus is an angel now. This understanding goes back as far as pre-1900 Russell. Upon resurrection, Jesus was given the "divine quality" and became "immortal and incorruptible", have life within himself - self-generating, requiring no external needs. Essentially what Jehovah God is. He assumed the office, function and role as Michael the archangel but he has not the nature of an angel, as angels can be destroyed, whereas Jesus cannot.

Although they will enjoy human perfection, they will still be corruptible because they will still be made of flesh that is capable of decaying or of being destroyed by another creature. They will have the power to live indefinitely, but for them to continue living they will have to keep their bodies supplied with food and water. Without these necessities they would waste away. Such is not the case with the few who are made incorruptible by being given the gift of immortality. Their continued existence is not dependent upon outside sources of energy. God has given them the power to be self-sustaining, just as he is. . . The angels have the power of an indefinite life, but their life force is not self-sustaining and indestructible. Immortality was never given to them. This is evident from the fact that the resurrected Jesus was the only one of Jehovah’s creatures who possessed it in the days of the apostle Paul, although angels had been living for a very long time before then.

The exalted Jesus Christ and the anointed Christians resurrected to rule in heaven with him are actually on a higher level than the spirit creatures normally called angels. Jesus and his anointed followers in heaven are immortal. (1 Tim. 6:15, 16; 1 Cor. 15:51-54) In contrast, the angels are mortal, as can be seen from the fact that Satan and his disobedient angels will be destroyed. (Rev. 20:10, 14; Luke 8:30, 31) Additionally, the Bible shows that Christ has been elevated above the angels and that his anointed followers will share in judging angels.—Heb. 1:4; Phil. 2:9-11; 1 Cor. 6:3.

Nonetheless, Jesus after his resurrection is still called Michael the archangel. (Jude 9; Rev. 12:7) And it appears that the exalted Jesus is referred to as an angel in Revelation 20:1 for, as God’s king, he is the logical one to bind Satan and the demons. So evidently, the term "angel" as designating an office may be used in a general sense to refer to all heavenly spirit creatures.

that's one of the non-issues that won't make any JW review their faith.

simple JW explaination: god created michael and the angels in his image. god used michael and the angels to create the rest of the universe. thus he said to michael and/or the angels: let US make... we are made in god's image, the angels too.

[edited to add:] and the JWs are even closer to the original meaning with that. to use genesis to "prove" the trinity is way off. ancient hebrews had many gods. the JWs only transformed them gods to angels.

53 For this which is corruptible must put on incorruption, and this which is mortal must put on immortality. 54 But when [this which is corruptible puts on incorruption and] this which is mortal puts on immortality, then the saying will take place that is written: “Death is swallowed up forever.”--1 Corinthians 53-54.
    im·mor·tal -- . 1. Not subject to death:

I don't agree with the WTS's idea of "immortality" meaning that it's impossible for the person to die. I think the correct idea is that the anointed have proven themselves to be worthy of never-ending life (which is something that the rest of mankind will not have qualified for until the end of the 1000 years).

There is a difference between the WTS's impression of what "immortality" means and "never-ending life".
The WTS understands "immortality" to mean that the person can't die nor be put to death, which is WRONG. "Never-ending life" simply means that the person is no longer under the condemnation of death, because of having proven themselves worthy. By the time the 1000 years begin the 144,000 will be the only ones who will have proven themselves worthy of "never-ending life".

I might add that Adam and Eve initially had "never-ending life". It wasn't 'till after they disobeyed God that they came under the penalty of death. So the so-called "immortality" which the anointed are said to have simply means that they have what Adam and Eve initially had, namely never-ending life. .

that's true. as we all know, immortals can be killed by either cutting their head off, piercing their heart or shooting them with a silver bullet, depending on the type of immortality.

You have an attitude that guarantees that you'll never be able to untangle the mess that people have made regarding ideas such as "immortality".
