When I was a kid...the family went out blackberry picking and my Mother made the best blackberry cobblers...sooooooooo good...she has gone now....
I can't find any store bought to compare with hers and blackberries are to expensive to buy for making cobbler so the next best is my homemade apple pie or pumpkin pie. My kids beg me to make them every year at this time when the fruit is ripe and ready. My secret, I put more ginger in my pies than it calls for in a recipe.
