Why are honest questions considered apostasy?

    The truth is they don't have the answers to back up their ideas in scriptures, so they use fear to keep the questions from being asked.

    Jeanniebeanz, that is so true. My son had a question and they would not answer it. They told him he done too much research and disfellowshipped him and labeled him an Apostate.I was going to prove to my son the organization was right so I done a lot of research and found the organization to be wrong. Not only are they wrong but THEY are the Apostates and NOT the ones they say.So sorry to have raised my kids in that because I don't know if the others will ever see the truth.Thats the price you pay when you get involved in a cult.

    I think they view it as a threat. Thats why they will react so strongly.

    .. every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been wrought in God.
