Too bad you won't listen to the other side of things. I used to think like you. I dedicated my life to Jehovah...and then discovered that the organization I trusted viewed my dedication to Jehovah as a dedication to them. It never was. In my 38 years as a jw I witnessed many families torn apart because of the organization. If you stay in long enough, you will see the same thing. I left because I could no longer trust them.... I never lost my trust in Jehovah...just my trust in an organization that would use my love for Him to manipulate me to further their own interests. It's a business... That's all it is. It cannot give you salvation, nor can it take it away. They have neither the power nor the authority. When you stand before your maker, you stand as an individual...not as a group. You cannot hide behind the skirts of any organization. Only God can read your heart and determine your standing... not a group of elderly men in Brooklyn.

Some claim that we break up marriages, yet some of the happiest couples i know are faithfull brothers and sisters. Some claim we break up marriages, yet brothers and sisters in divided households are encouraged to be good and loving husbands and wives.A

And do you actually know many non witness couples very well to compare to? If so then you have baaaaad association...Bad witness, bad bad witness...

Either you don't know what you are talking about, or you aren't a loyal JW. Which is it?

Just another cult. Leave us alone. You have your beliefs, we have ours. I know you will beback to read this, I can feel it. Just remember faith is what is needed to be saved. It never says one must belong to a certain organiztioin. Faith, faith, faith. DO you understand. I do think it is sad that a cult has gotten so powerful. Taken my parent's away. I will say nothing about it because they have Faith, I will let it alone. Please email me, I would like to talk to you. [email protected]

I think it's sad, also. I would have, many many years ago, when still a JW, have posted and run, too afraid to read the replies, because deep, deep inside I knew it was all a pack of lies and just a big book publishing company.

I think it's sad I wasted nearly forty years of my life in that mind control cult.

I think it's sad that millions of people are still trapped in that mind control cult.

I think it's sad that thousands refuse blood, and blood product treatments and die and never get a few extra days, weeks, months years, decades with their loved ones.

I think it's sad that the JW elders cover up for paedophiles.

I think it's sad that millions are so afraid of Armageddon that they forget to live and think they can buy their salvation, selling books of the WTBTS.

I think it's sad that the same millions don't get to celebrate, christmas, easter, other festivities that bring families together and strengthen the bonds to their families instead of their allegiance to a book publishing company.

I also think it's sad. You're not the only one. The WTBTS is a devious, lying, twisting cult that aims to control it's little sales people....the publishers.

I find all of that and more about the WTBTS very sad.

Wonder which Witness I slandered. Guess I'll never know. Sorta reminds me of the last 3 elders who were here at different times. When I asked em some questions, they all three said I'll do some research on it and git back to ya. That's the last I ever saw of em. Either my questions were REALLY, REALLY hard, or they were lying to me. I been waitin for some answers for 21 years.

Since when does the shunning policy promote good communication between husband and wife? You talk of 'divided' households, but apply that term only to husband/wife combos where one mate has never been a witness. If good loving relationships are promoted in 'divided' household, than why did my mother tell my daughter not to talk to her dad anymore, now that he is DF'd? and what about when they make the announcement that I am DF'd? is she not supposed to talk to either of us? and by implication, since I am not yet DF'd and my husband is, I am not supposed to talk to him either? how does that promote a happy family life?

...what's really sad is this post. Ah well, either he'll wake up someday and be back or he'll bury himself deeper in the WTS dung heap where the sh*t may be smelly, but at least it's familiar and you don't have to go to the bother of thinking for yourself at all.
