  If lesbians hate men so much, why do they dress and act like them?

  Not all of them hate men. That is a myth. The ones who do? Maybe they don't like the way certain men have treated them but still really like masculine clothes. Not all lesbians dress like men or act like men though.

  Only some people are afraid of fat people. Some aren't afraid of fat people, but are afraid of what others would think if they dated a fat person.

  I assume you mean the judgmental ones who will tell you they are good christians. Truly good christian people will never call themselves good christians.

  Lots of people get caught. The prisons are full of them.

  Why do younger black men typiccaly insist on oral and anal sex? Whats their problem with birth control?

  I wouldn't know about this one. Maybe they like those practices and are also afraid that a condom will break?

  Why can I not wear overalls and be treated with respect?

  Use your overalls as a barometer. They can help you pick out the judgmental and the prejudiced.

  A few posts here have hit some important points about women and sex. (I'm in my 40's so I am experienced on this one.)

  Some women, like myself, have to get mentally in the mood for sex. The last few years have been very stressful for me, so I need a nice bubble bath, candles burning, and that kind of stuff to get myself in the mood. My partner also has a huge amount to do with whether I feel like having sex. My ex-boyfriend was the best lover I ever had not only because I was hopelessly in love with him, but he spent a lot of time treating me like a queen--opening doors for me, wining/dining me, massaging my back or feet or whatever, giving me warm towels to use after a shower, etc etc. How he treated me every day made a huge difference in our sex life. My husband does not pick up after himself, leaves dirty dishes in our bedroom, does not help around the house, and he also has trouble getting it up if you know what I mean--needless to say I'm not in the mood very often. Especially when he is watching WWF Wrestling at night--sorry but watching that just does not get me in the mood.

  Sorry I had to vent, because I am a married but sexually frustrated woman!!!

  some would call this arbitrary, but you can't really look forward unless you know where you're coming from. for example: if you know that we are essentially just african apes, then that puts a different spin on how you look at the future. how you navigate the waters of medicine, science, technology, environment. if you think we are a "special" creation, then not only are you less responsible for your actions, but you also probably think that joe hoba is going to come and make it all better. or, that when you die, you have pie in the sky. so why worry about anything?

  if you can know our amazing natural history, you can understand yourself, and those around you, better. know where we are coming from.

  but in another sense, you are right. it wouldn't be such a big deal if people would just let it go. but instead the creationists keep bring it up because it upsets their world view. otherwise it would just be another solid branch of science. frankly, i am surprised that cosmology doesn't upset creationists more. it just goes to show how special we think we are. and if we could just get over it, then we could concentrate on the future more, and make the world a better place. and to be fair, most scientists don't consider it an issue, and they are making the world a better place, using evolutionary theory as a framework to create medicine and technology that *everyone*, no matter their take, benefits from.

  My question is in the form of a story...

  When picking out new lineoleum and carpet for the house, a couple finds out that on top of the $3200 for the materials to do the job, the store will include installation of the product for another $300.00 and will guarantee that the job will be done correctly and in one day as long as the furniture is out of the way.

  The wife agrees to pay for installation but the husband balks at the extra $300 and insists on installing it himself over a weekend... Over the course of the next 6 weekends the husband (with no experience in installing flooring) struggles to install the product. Meanwhile, the couple cannot use the kitchen for three of those weekends and they end up spending about $40.00 per day ($240) on eating out over their normal food budget.

  So my question in light of the story is, where is the savings? Or maybe, was saving the money ever the point?

  Help me out here, guys...you know who you are... :)
