Homosexuality and how should a JW or 'Study' view it?

    AnitainFlorida,

Maybe the reference you're looking for is in one of the hundreds of books of the bible removed by the RC church at the Council of Trent. Unfortunately, the Watchtower Society accepts the RC Council of Trent's selection of books for the bible, so you aren't allowed to read the ones removed. Did you ever wonder why the Watchtower Society uses a bible which is substantially a book created by the Roman Catholic church? In all the hundreds of books removed, why didn't WTS restore some of them?

    Right on FunkyDerek...

As long as we are having a "stoning" party...

After stoning all those homos, we can move onto all those "brothers" that insist on wearing cotton / poly blend shirts because they should be stoned since they are wearing shirts made of two threads.

Also, let's stop at the Red Lobster and stone all the people eating shell fish.

Wow, we are just getting warmed up now...

A person can be homosexual and be a JW. They just have to remain celibate. I'd be willing to bet there are tens of thousands of those throughout the world.

A person can be homosexual and be a JW.

Alternatively, that person can be homosexual and be an ex-JW. In that situation, it's far better to be an ex-Jw than living a lie as many homosexuals who are Jws do. Or, if it gets too much, kill themselves because they have no way to deal with their ego-dystonic homosexuality. The choice is simple but admittedly hard for many to attain: Be true to who you are and get the hell out of an organization that instills in you intense hatred of who you are. Just as being heterosexual entails so much more than "just" sexual desire, so too does being homosexual.

Sure a person can be a JW and have a homosexual "orientation" without acting upon it. But then that person would be guilty of having lust in his/her heart, unlawful desires, etc. and not tattling on his/herself to the Elders. IOW, having the desire is still against JW rules.
