The ONLY times the "we're not policemen" jerks ever called or wanted to 'encourage' me was when some dub saw me in town with one of my female mental therapists at a fast food joint or walking out of the psychologist's office together. I think they finally got the message that they weren't exactly welcome to interrogate encourage me when I informed them that due to all of the 'meat in due season' I was recieving from the borg I was in therapy to get my head back together again.
So.... what do you think this means?

If I may offer my experience:
Many years ago, a CO, who I and my family very much respected as an honest and honorable man, came to visit me. He agreed with everything I said (this was shortly after 1975), and just encouraged me to 'stick with it,'...no action by him, but DFd anyway.
Then, about 20 years later, another CO had multiple extended conversations with me...again, a man who we respected as honorable and honest. And again, no action by him, but DFd anyway.

Odrade, we're about in the same place you are.
I've just decided i'm not talking to them.
The elder assigned as our bookstudy conductor calls us 1-2 times a week to tell us how much he'd like to see us at his bookstudy... even though we haven't been at a bookstudy in about a yeare (that's the easier meeting to cut out yo!). And they keep dropping by. We just don't answer the door and we dont' answer the phone unless we know who the caller is. Let them leave messages all they want. -

Yep, Craig you got it. But we are hoping if we don't engage them at all, we may be able to once more drop off their radar for a time. I'm certain if we talk to them, or allow even just a little visit, that inevitably we will end up on the chopping block. But really, at this point, there's very little they can do since we won't meet with them.
