seriously though, I know this C.O., by reputation at least. He's noted for being very kind and "down to earth." I'm certain he doesn't have any non-society sanctioned activites on his mind. He knows both Pater's and my parents, which is certainly how he got this phone number.
Damn. If he did call from that elder's phone, now HE has the number. and HE is a jackass.
Really though, do you have to let him in? That would of course be the polite thing to do, but as more then likely they are there on official business, let them conduct it on the doorstep.

Odrade, I wouldn't meet with him unless my husband were there (assuming I would meet with him). I'm sure he'll be bringing someone else. Just say, I have to check with my husband first.
