Pole- I thought it might be..

    • my kids Pokemon cards
    • the Harry Potter books
    • our sex toys
    • the Lord of the Rings books
    • My CD collection
    • some furniture pieces recently acquired (almost new)
    • Stuffed animals (no smurfs though)
    • my computer
    • ETC ETC

Of course I was told (and obeyed) to get rid of all of this. No relief!

Turns out the deemunz were probably "into" my wife- "God" knows everyone else was! You never look in the most obvious spot. Sheesh...

    When will I learn?

How about, "we follow the Bible, not the words of men."

But then you can't, just can't, truly understand the Bible without those Bible Aids from WTBTS.

    Amaxing how that works huh?

My dad used to say that Harley Davidson motorcycles are the best motorcycles in the world when they are running,

the problem is they never run.

I never did quite get it?

    Bebu and Justin,

Exactly. When you think of it it turns out as a JW I used to "present my beliefs in a favourable light" (=lie). This applies to almost every fundamental belief the JWs have. It's so tru of all totalitarian systems. Remember Orwell's Animal Farm?

    1. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy.

    2. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend.

    3. No animal shall wear clothes.

    4. No animal shall sleep in a bed.

    5. No animal shall drink alcohol.

    6. No animal shall kill any other animal.

    7. All animals are equal.

    Yeah, right.

Unlike millions of people in other religions, Jehovah's Witnesses are free of superstitions.

You mean like birthdays, vaccinations, smurfs and stuff like that?

Jehovah's Witnesses encourage people to openly discuss religious matters.

Footnote: In accordance with the questions and answers lovingly (tm) provided.

Are the claims above true? Or do the JWs lie about them

    Is that a serious question?

    paduan,

    Is that a serious question?

That was meant to be the brainteaser part of my post. The anwer is obvious for an ex-jw. But the average JW newbie buys into those lies for years to come.
