Work all day into the evening and on weekends doing my part in helping my employer through what has been a difficult transition to a new database system, and not feel like I need to Make A Stand? and tell them I won't work overtime etc. because it interferes with my Sacred Service? (sales meeting attendance).

Well, just today at work I was asked if I'd help coordinate the Christmas hamper donation of food and clothing and presents for needy families. My initial feeling of "I can't, it's Christmas" quickly gave way to "gee, what a great way to spend my first Christmas 'out'...giving to those who don't have what I do."

I figured if God exists and wants to call me an apostate for that, then so be it.

You know, its funny, I really don't have to do anything. My parents (for instance) have imagined so many things that I'm supposedly up to, things that would make a sailor blush! How can I possibly compete with their imaginations? So I just go about my daily life going to work, paying my bills, cooking dinner, cleaning house, going to a movie or concert once in awhile, maybe on a really evil day to the casino. I think if they really knew how tame it all is they would blow a circuit. And here's the kicker, if I didn't come on this board I probably would never think of the dubs at all. But I can tell you they're thinking about us, and that some of them live in fear.

So again I say, I don't have to do a thing, their imaginations and their fears take care of the whole thing. Isn't it lovely??

(btw living well is the best revenge)

ah, and that is the real beauty of being out of the organization.

Enjoy my life and be happy. I never did any of those "horrible" things that people who "fall out of the truth" do...you know, smoking, drugs, tons of drinking. (I like to drink, but never been drunk.) OK, maybe I did ONE of those "debauched" (who talks like that?!) things...I slept with my husband before we were married. OMG!!!!! *rolls eyes* I just enjoy life; live well and spend time with my honey and our dogs...I'm just happy, something I never was before.

Dan the Man said you don't have to make a stand anymore. Now it's not a matter of "loyalty" to God or the Organization if you work on an assembly date. Now that feels good!

I was not raised as a JW, so I have pretty much reverted to the person that I was beforehand but with less cash and a wife ( possibly the cause of the 'less cash' ).

Now that we're out of the "cult", what's an "apostate" to do???

Since I lost Jehovahs Holy Spirit when I left the truth and that frickin Satan got a hold of me.....I've been shooting up Heroin, became a crack addict, smoke ciggaretts, visit whore houses on a regular basis, I steal for a living, and live under a bridge with the cockroaches. I'm sick of it and I plan on getting re-baptised next summer and cleaning up my life once again. Praise Jehovah! Gumby
