So true Blondie... how many times have I heard "there is bad association even at the Kingdom Hall." And that doesn't teach us to be critical, judgmental and paranoid... how? much happier since leaving. much less judgmental too. I used to think that was a personality trait that I would be forever working to keep under control, Now I find it falling away from me easily, reserving judgment for the truly heinous, like abusers and controllers, rather than disapproving of someone's entire person because her skirt is 1" too short, or a girl holds hands with her new bf a few weeks earlier than the YPA book indicates is appropriate.
