No zombie as you say it all comes down to the GB. Everything comes down to this DO YOU TRUST THE GB? Everything is all because the GB say so and most PIMIs are so indoctrinated they actually believe what the GB says is as if Jehovah is saying it.

So if it all comes down to do you trust the GB all these years then you have to ask the question how come some of them have been nonces?

Greenlees and Chitty were both members of the GB and both were found out to be sexually deviant with boys.

Jarez was the longest serving member of the GB and has had similar accusations made which seems to be the reason why the Borg is spending so much money keeping these documents unreleased to the public.

Now Fat Tony has also had similar accusations made against him by more than one CSI victim.

So if it all comes down to do you trust these men are who they claim to be then how could these ones claim to be who they claim to be?

Chitty came back to London and the official story was he was home sick and that’s why he was removed from the GB.

ExbethelitenowPIMA, I think that are missing the points I'm trying to make.

You are not going to get a revolution to over-throw the Governing Body's authority in the congregation. Raymond Franz, was our best chance and even he failed to reform the Organization ... and do you have more leverage than him? I think not. No, I don't trust the Governing Body to do the right thing, But I am anticipating that they will change the Faith because they will have too. As It will be a case of change the religion or watch it perish.

However, if you are determined to start some kind of fifth column, you can try ... but I know how it will work out, and it will not be good for those involved.

ExBethelitePIMA...........Religion and belief systems are a human equivalent to exoskeletons. They are rigid and confining on one hand but seemingly offer safety and protection on the other. As an animal or person grows the exoskeleton must be shed. This is for both animals and people, a vulnerable time. Sometimes they fall victim to the spores of extremism or fall to self-harm. Sometimes the exoskeleton molt fails to completely occur, and the poor creature drags a shell of their former life around. Unable to grow, unable to eat, they must hide in the shadows. Such creatures die in nature but humans have the unfortunate fate of continuing in that state, complaining about what's happened but unable/unwilling to complete the transition to a new life.

No religion would be necessary if GOD created humans to have a free will moderated by
extreme nausea, cramps, incapacitation when BAD THOUGHTS began forming in their minds.
You could still THINK bad thoughts but they'd make you sick and if persisting - kill you.

But Almighty God simply didn't think of that one - did he now?

"they have admitted they are not inspired"

The Governing Body is inspired the same as Paul was inspired. The thing is, people don't understand what the word 'inspired' means. While it can mean getting direct messages from God, mentally, audibly or in vision, the word inspired means where the idea came from.

Movies are inspired by true stories. Songs are inspired by events in the writer's life. So when Paul writes that all scripture is inspired of God, he means Gen - Malachi originated from God and the focus and idea of the apostles' writing was from those scriptures and for the serving God.

That's how the Governing body is inspired by God in that they use the scriptures as a basis for their serving God, not that they got direct information from God, Jesus or the angels.

From Rutherford on, the goal was to please Jehovah so that they will survive Jehovah's great day, but then they did it the Pharisee's way. The Pharisees too the law of Moses and expanded on it and showed off to everyone about how faithful they are to obedience. Jesus called them out for that saying they burdened the people. Post Rutherford, they did the same thing but they are not listening to what Jesus said. That new Enjoy Life book is just a rule book so that people see the rules and obey them and think that they will live forever.

JW v2023 is the new kinder gentler organization, as last week's midweek meeting had a part on depression and even going to professionals. That wouldn't fly in the past. They would just give the charge of go out and preach at all costs.

W v2023 is the new kinder gentler organization, ........

Could not help but think of Neil Young, "We got a kinder, gentler machine gun hand."

Yes, the size the church has grown to, and the international progress toward civil liberties has necessitated many changes. Slowly less and less overtly cultlike. However, the ugly violence at the core is the belief that their God intends to kill nearly everyone to make it a 'peaceful world'.

Battlefield 'peace' never lasts, it just leaves scars and broken hearts. You'd think the God of the OT would have learned that.
