Six months from now he will blame rank and file JWs for believing the great tribulation was only minutes away.

They were running ahead of the chariot again...

Anyone remember this gem: 'Armageddon isn't around the corner, it's staring us in the face!'

I remember it from more than 20 years ago.

stay alive 'till '75.. - yep, 2075. XD

I remember one of the G.B used the word "imminent" about their fictional and fanciful Armageddon. A number of the near illiterate J.W's were saying " It's not just around the corner, it's imminent ! ".

Thus coining a tautology. They did not quite understand that the idiom "just around the corner" meant er..... imminent.

The point is that all this End Time nonsense is based upon only one thing, the hot air that the G.B blow out of their respective arses.

I would hazard a guess and say he is talking about the WTBTS being in that position. The investigations into child abuse and legal issues are causing them to think about a REAL tribulation... minutes away/ just around the corner, etc.

There is none so blind who cannot see....

"It does not belong to you to know the times and seasons the times or seasons that the Father has placed in his own jurisdiction." (Acts 1:7) (it belongs to the Macallan swigging charlatans at Warwick!)

    So bizarre.

The longer their "soon" doesn't happen—instead of admitting they are wrong and accepting reality—they double down and keep saying "the time left is reduced."

    Really stupid.

    Let's review: It's a cult!

Wake me when it's actually happening!

The only thing that's "minutes away" is all their bulls*** imploding on them.

Now they say that jws are on the threshold of the new system just like the Jews just before they crossed over into the promised land. Almost once a year.

We stand at the threshold of the promised new world. Thus, how important it is that we keep well in mind Moses’ powerful words! If we clearly understand and firmly believe that “Jehovah our God is one Jehovah,” we will do all we can to give him exclusive devotion, serving him as he approves.

SHORTLY before the nation of Israel entered the Promised Land, tens of thousands of men committed “sexual immorality with the daughters of Moab.” As a result, 24,000 perished at Jehovah’s hand. Imagine—the Israelites were so close to the realization of their long-awaited inheritance, yet they lost out on wonderful blessings because of succumbing to temptation.—Num. 25:1-5, 9.

2 That disastrous example was recorded “for a warning to us upon whom the ends of the systems of things have come.” (1 Cor. 10:6-11) Now in the final part of “the last days,” God’s servants are on the threshold of a righteous new world. (
