They still talk out of one side of their mouth about not taking a collection of money, while on the other side they beg more vigorously than any church I have ever seen. A tithe is usually about 10% of income, but this corporation shoots for 100% of what you own.

From what I can tell, the "Planned Giving Desk" mentioned in the 2/95 km became the "Charitable Planning Office" referenced in the 11/1/99 Watchtower.
It would appear that in the December 1, 1982 issue of The Watchtower, the Society began its annual pattern of informing its readers how they can send donations, the 1982 article was vague about methods of donations, by 1984 they started listing different forms of giving and have done it ever since.
In 1995, the Society lovingly came up with a special brochure entitled "Planned Giving to Benefit Kingdom Service Worldwide" to help publishers and interested ones learn how they can go about including them in their estate planning. Apparently "Planned Giving" had a negative connotation as the brochure was renamed "Charitable Planning to Benefit Kingdom Service Worldwide" for the year 2000.
