Walter *staggering to work while making plans for the next party*

That just warms the cockles of my heart! Walter worked his butt off (but will you be able to tell which one is his?) and he's willing to do it AGAIN!!!!!! Let me tell you, Valis, the Overbeership is in good hands in Ontario with iiz2drunk. ;) Especially since Beans had to be good... Unfortunately, we let Jehovah down, because we drank and drank, but we didn't fall down and puke . (Must be because we're apostates, right?)

Well, dayum! Too many people, too little time.

First off to the possible surprise guests (you know who you are): and mostly, . Missed yas! So close and yet so far...

    Hehe, lessee....

morton68 was nothing like I'd imagined her to be! I expected a quiet, sorta whiney type, and instead got an extroverted, easygoing, strong woman! (even if she is a bit of a gas bag! LOL) She has a hunk of a hubby and gorgeous boys, too! It was a great pleasure to see the pure joy she and Vicki radiated at finally being reunited after all those years. And they had a mini-reunion with other childhood friends throughout the weekend, too.

Thank god for the British! (You should pardon the expression! ) Nothing like a tall, lanky Englishman to put a lush straight! ExpatBrit once again graced me with his presence and impeccable good sense, making sure I saved myself from complete and utter debauchery--at least too soon in the day! Where were you at midnight, eh? (And Rhonda, honey? that's spelled "eh?" not "aye?". "Aye" is Scottish for "yes"--I learned that from LittleToe who will be wondering how the hell his name got into the Toronto 'fest thread--LOL)

Expat, sorry you had to eat lunch alone. We figured since Walter had airport duties the least we could do was to eat with the man before deserting him for our hotel in the big city! Trust me, drinking with us was preferable to eating lunch with him. (Sorry, Walter! ) Had I realized you two had not yet met, however, (which only dawned on me this morning) I probably would've done things differently.

needs_lots has a lot goin' for her! She was so happy to see Morty! And I have a feeling this weekend was a much needed release from all the stress and worries of her battle with the injustices of Watchtower control. It was an honor to finally meet our heroine.

Her husband, Scott, was an excellent dinner partner, chauffeur, and bar companion. He's very likeable, intelligent, compassionate and has taken the time to understand how the Borg works. Not every never-a-JW husband takes the time. Hats off to Scott!

shera brought her sister-in-law along to keep her company, which may have worked a tad TOO well. SIL was outgoing and dear Shera is rather shy. So SIL smoothed the way in some respects, but also permitted Shera to stay quietly in the background for quite a while. I don't think anyone but the crew at Walter's post-Cameron House got to know shera too well. I got accustomed to her face, tho, at dinner. My regards to "Red", shera!

James Dean put in an appearance, which was shocking to some! Me, I firmly believe in an afterlife, so it wasn't a total surprise. However, I had never realized what a split personality that attractive young actor had! Live and learn!

I got to spend a few minutes with Wolfie , and wish him the fortitude to deal with his sad circumstances. Hope to see you again sometime. Your buddy, too!

Neverthere and hubby? I almost feel like you never were! At least in my recounting of the weekend, there were far two few minutes of interaction between us. If I had understood that "the sex show" was not a nightclub comedy act (a la The Vagina Monologues) but a supplier exhibition, I would have gotten all the salient details and probably driven you there myself! LOL I have spent time with fjtoth before, however, so am glad that you got to know him and Uzzah. Frank's a great guy, isn't he?

I'm not sure about Uzzah who must have had a wonderful time after he left us on Saturday PM, because I never got to see him before I had to head home on Sunday. My daughter-the-card-shark had to be home in time to prepare a physics lab report with a classmate, so 4 PM was my departure deadline. Maybe we can get to chat in another two years, eh, you namesake-of-an-ark-touching-pariah you??!!??

SLOAN keeps following me!!!! I think this is the fourth time we've been at an ex-JW event together! It was good to have some Southern suga' grace the Great White North!

Quotes has some FINE bone structure! Which Aztec noticed and I think SLOAN remarked upon, but I never did hear which famous person she thought he resembles. I, of course, liked him for his mind! ;) and his website... At least, I think it's his website... Rhonda thought that because BEANS is always advertising the site, that it was Beans' creation. I thought it was your creation, Quotes. I'd like to entice you to settle this argument by saying that there are big bucks riding on it and if you side with me there's good money in it for you, but I cannot. (Rhonda is notoriously tight-fisted... )

Beans and his Beaniebabies! Omigod! There was more cute on that one couch at Walter's mom's than a body should have to stand!!!! And now he's sent me a PM that intrigues me, so I will have to make sure to get back to Toronto on a non-custodial weekend, ply him and Quotes with beer and get them to take me to Uzzah's so we can all have a nice long trip down memory lane! Too short, but definitely sweet, kiddo!

68storm was a sight for sore eyes! He's just the greatest guy and he hangs out with good people, too. I was sorry to learn the continuation of your saga, but you actually looked more relaxed and in better shape than you had two years ago. I'm sorry I missed meeting your son. If he's half as nice as his dad, I'm more than sorry! Keep well.

Gotta go now.... I'll lampoon the rest of yas later!

Damnit looks like I missed all the debauchery.

Oh well, it was most pleasant to have lunch with Obiwan, Morton, Petty, Outnfree, and ....whatsername....oh yeah, Aztec. Complete bunch of livewires, and all in one hotel room as well!...phew!!!

Hopefully next time I can spend more time with everyone. In the interests of making sure that Christian standards are maintained.

Hey everyone! Here it is Monday and Saturday night seems so far away.

Getting to meet all of you was terrific and I can so agree with the statement that it felt like we were hardly there, but with hubby's hours at work, it was hard enough to stay as long as we did. I could have spent so much time with all of you. I was sorry that I didnt get time to chat with some of you, Aztec, Shera etc. as I would have liked to.

Vicki and Scott looked fantastic. I don't think they have changed a bit in the 9 years since I saw Vicki (well, Ok, before this the last time I saw her she was pregnant, so she changed a bit) and Scott looked exactly the same as over 10 years ago when I saw him at their wedding. Looking at Vicki the same way too, with all that love in his eyes !

I can't wait till this happens again. I have never met so many people that just oozzed friendship from the moment you met them. Frank was so great and Uzzah too, Uzzah reminds me so much of a friend of mine that it was almost eerie.

As to Vicki, whaaahhhh, I was hoping to get to spend some more time with you before you left Toronto again! It is amazing to see you and to see you are doing so well. Give my love to the girls, they are just beautiful. I wish you could have seen the boys before you left, I think you would have been shocked to see those tall lean kids that you remember as chubby little toddlers.

As to everyone who was there, can't say enough how much I enjoyed meeting you all, your kindness, your concern for Vicki and Scott and your partying (wahhhh I missed most of it, anyone get good pics?).

Got a busy day at work, didn't shave, and I look like a slob. Everyone can tell I partied this weekend, and everyone's jealous! I can't help coming back to this thread every little while, even though it's so busy here.

Missing everyone!!! Gotta do this again soon!

    Hmmmmm, now where was I?

    Ah, yes!

As Azzy mentioned, those Canadian boys drink some righteous water! Micheal came to Walter's on Sunday, too, after a rather intriguing false start (I hope you can successfully cope with that difficulty (((Micheal))) We didn't want to press....) I hafta confess that I was definitely of your opinion on the Gretzy thing -- he was poetry on ice, man! -- but I didn't want Rhonda (who I have to live with at monthly SE Mich MeetUps, you understand) to get totally pissed with me for thinking that Wayne center ice was perfectly okay! Too bad you're a Toronnuh Compost fan! (Go Wings!) Not every weekend I get to meet a looker who is also considerate of others' feelings. SOMEDAY, the rest of the board will be able to 'see' you, eh?

Rayzorblade's place of employment was a blast and we had the friendliest, most attentive bartender there! The Cameron House reminded me of a European club: modern art on the walls, impressionistic ceiling art evoking French and Italian palace decor, banquettes along the wall, intimate round tables, all combined with funky lighting and an eclectic clientele. The band, Guh, was quite good, and the stadium-type seating in the back room where they were playing is straight out of a '40s musical! Who has that any more?!!! And Ray taught Rhonda and I all about the art of hailing a taxicab after "first call for last call".

Too bad we missed you on Sunday! Lena really wanted to meet you, but it was for Lena that we had to leave before you arrived. I am SURE we will see each other again before too long, though.

Meet me in St. Louis, Krusty.... OH! Are them fightin' words, too? My Protector!!! Obiwan was in high Chevalier form (or was that a 'gander with his gaggle of Michigeese?) squiring all the belles around town! He squired me past the Number One VIP Adult Lap Dance Hall across from the hotel's surface parking lot without incident.

Of course, I know obi for over a year now, and he's just the dearest thing! (I don't know why, SheilaM, Thunderrider and Robdar, but I had to point out to Obi how GREAT it was that he would be working in your part of the world for a little while next month. DOH! -- Y'all will have to use that as an excuse for a mini-fest, dontcha think?)

    Be back later....

    Love,

    out
