Some names that come to my mind: Joe Biden, Jim Webb, Bernie Sanders, Jerry Brown and some others could have beaten Trump. However it was determined that it was going to be HRC, forgetting her baggage and deep resentment that many people have for her. A bad candidate selection opened the door for this defeat, the honchos at the DNC are the guilty party.

At the end of the day, unless machines were tampered with, there's no real crime. Whatever fake headlines people read and believe is up to them. They are the ones who cast their vote and more voted for Trump where it mattered.
I doubt any mention would be made of Russia if Clinton had done a less pitiful job. So is it really the issue some are making it out to be or is it something they can try and make an issue out of?
The Dems would be better served trying to get their own house in order for the next elections, as it is they are going to still be in a shambles and might even lose more seats while at the same time coming away empty handed with these hard-to-prove/prosecute investigations.

Trump is much more pitiful than Clinton. Trump is an authoritarian demagogue; Clinton is just a mediocrity.
With her we could have expected more of the same. With him we can expect worse.

Apart from what we find out about Russia or should I say confirm........ I think the head of the FBI...Comey....10 days before the election with his 'look we've found more of her emails' Which turned out to be copies..........did more to hurt Hillary then anything else with the exception of her stumbling badly being caught on camera....bad optics that fit the 'she's too old and frail to be President.'
Trump of course is no spring chicken, looks bloated, nothing would surprise me about his health. Apart from that......... his mental health is also in question. His ego and greed rounds out the picture.

I still think the implications of this have been glossed over and not really considered.
Something like 650,000 of Hillary Clinton's emails were found on the laptop of the spouse of her assistant who has links to radical Islam. This laptop was used to send dick-picks and who knows what else (browse porn sites?).
Even if they were the emails they had already seen, it shows how utterly insecure they were which is what the issue was all about. Again, the fact that it was being brought up was 100% down to her own malpractice.
Why was her assistant, with links to Islam groups, making copies of so many emails. There is no legitimate reason I can think of for those emails to be on that laptop and no one has asked what they were doing there or come up with any explanation. The media just went "her assistant, meh" which is a fail.
How many contained sensitive information (whether actually classified or not) and how secure was dick-pic-laptop?
