  So the wife was watching the latest installment of JW Broadcasting and near the end there was a new segment on dating and courtship. It starts at about the 39 minute mark:

  It starts with a young sister maybe 25-30 who still seems to be living at home. Not just any home though, the type of home 90% of people on Earth cannot afford. Anyway so she meets a young Brother and they do all sorts of JW approved activities together: meetings, cart witnessing, group dates and talking on phone (no sexting) LOL. Everything is going great but then she starts noticing some troubling things about this Brother. Instead of eating dinner with the family he would rather watch a sporting event, the horror! Plus, he wants to foolishly spend money on his car instead of pioneering! Which shows he is materialistic, nevermind that her family appears to have a mansion, they are a good spiritual family. LOL The whole thing was ridiculous and will likely be ignored by anyone actually looking for a real relationship.

  It's cool that you recognized that the sister in the video was about that age and still living at home. Yeah, why hasn't she moved out on her own by now? Also, the GB puts watching sports in such a bad spot light in this segment along with him simply showing her a car that he was supposedly interested in. Well, hey, welcome to the real world. Life is not all about meetings and field service or did they not get the memo.

  Funny that they show watching sports as an alarm bell as to this brothers suitability as a marriage mate but they will turn right around and counsel a married woman who is getting smacked around to "try harder" to please her husband.

  This is a weird organization.

  I would feel sorry for the brother if he married this woman, but on second thought she may suggest they can live off her folks and pioneer. So the young man she married complain to the elders she is not spiritual enough for him, she enjoy shopping and eating too much.....

  She is boring....no character.... pathetic. She looks like a 12-year old, immature. The guy at least has some interests and act like a normal man. Well.....that is the JW life I guess.

  Shock, horror, the guy wanted to buy a two door car, it's a wonder they don't encourage JWs to buy mini vans.

  What can I say , Jehovahs Witnesses speak out of both sides of their mouth .

  Australia : Alex Rance an AFL professional footballer ,unbaptised JW ,married ,debated whether to go full time pioneering or continue his football career ,guess which one he chose . ..and he is in . good standing in JW world .

  The Williams sisters , not much more I can say about them except that they have used the social scene, Night clubs ,etc, to their advantage as regular worldly gals , and not D2D witnesses of Jehovah.

  George Benson , another high profile muscisian ,celebrity that goes against all that the GB of Jehovahs Witnesses preach ,not to exult yourself in any way or form .

  I`m sure you can provide more examples of this double standards

  That only belongs to Jehovah....He is still in good standing amongst JW`s and adored by many ( worshipped )

  Prince : Lets face it seriously ,,was Prince a model for Jehovahs Witnesses ? An icon in the entertainment world who idolised him ? ....And he was given a memorial at a KH hall ? Seriously ?

  Would the Governing Body of Jehovah`s Witnesses encourage their young ones to immitate Prince`s example? or would they condemn anybody trying to follow in his footsteps.

  It seems like if you have money , influence ,power , or celebrity status ,you can go a long way in Jehovah`s Organization ,......... one set of standards

  However if you are just one of the mill , rank and file members ,and heaven forbid , one of the female members of Jehovah`s witnesses , you dont count for anything.
