Imagine: you have inside information that could destroy the Watchtower corporations.

How far would they go to protect the assets?

    would they kill?

No strange question in Blackwater etc days.

The GB are a bunch of uneducated, greedy and cowardly bullies. Any type of confrontation scares the shit out of them.

They will run for the hills abandoning everything . Like they did in Russia.

BUT as long as they think they can use the law to vacillate, prevaricate and stave off the consequences they will try their utmost to keep the advantage.

I believe they would. It's not only the gb's retirement fund but also all of their helpers future pensions also depend on it. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

How far will they go to protect inside information?

$4,000 a day sounds about right.

    Come on gorby...

    1) there is no secret, no tidbit, no nugget, no piece of information anywhere that would ever bring the cult down. Period. It dosent exist. You do know there was a pedo on the gb...? The org is still here. It. Wont. Happen. That information does not now nor will ever exist. The whole premise is flawed.

    2) your asking if the gb would ever as a group approve of and put in motion a murder. Thats so insane its beyond words. Its the crazy ass apostate questions that dubbs like to point to and say “see, apostates are insane”. Its patently stupid and beyond the pale. Get a grip gorby.

People have dirt on Scientology. The religion spends money to bring THE PERSON down, not to pay them off.
In the long run, they continue onward and the "dirt" doesn't destroy them. Leah Remini seems untouchable, yet the church continues onward.

The ancient texts of Mormonism in THE BOOK OF ABRAHAM have been proven to be false once Egyptian hieroglyphics were translated. Yet the church exists.

I imagine Watchtower would know all that and not offer money, not pay a hired killer, maybe hire a lawyer and certainly hire a private investigator to discredit the person, discovering their internet porn history or involvement in bankruptcy or anything apostate-seeming to say their information is false.

There was a pedophile. On the governing body.

It didnt bring the org down. Very few cared then and even fewer now know or care.

The org didnt kill anyone. They payed a few people off, including the pedo, and life went on.

Morph why do you have it as an article of faith that nothing can bring the organisation down? Surely it’s as fallible as any organisation and collapse is possible. You seem as sure about the survival of Watchtower as any true believer!

In reality Watchtower is particularly vulnerable for many reasons, just a few of which: it relied on media sales for income which is now gone; their own belief in God’s blessing and Armageddon result in very poor strategic, financial and doctrinal decisions; they keep adherents uneducated and socially immobile and thus in no position to donate; they are only growing in poor countries, which are a net loss to organisation funds, and on and on.

If any religion is vulnerable to collapse it is Wa5chtower, yet you say it can’t happen. Why can’t it happen?

Hi guys, the "pedophile in the GB" you are mentioning is the Leo Greenlees case?

@ray- yes, that is to whom i am referring.

Slim one, i can answer in a single word- History. The wt has more than 100 years of history on its side. 100 years of being wrong. 100 years of bad predictions. 100 years of claiming absolute truth while constantly changing “truth”. Imprisonment, bans, bad press, leadership changes, on and on and on... the cult continues. Its not impervious, no institution is, but show me a church that failed after having at least 100 years of success? I cant think of any, at least not easily. They arnt going away.

History says they plod on. Prove me wrong.
