I would let the Doctors on the front lines who are actually dealing with the sick people and trying different drugs and getting results take the lead.

I would let individuals make their own decisions on whether to take a certain drug or abstain. No government should be allowed to make decisions of life and death in medical decisions. That's Socialism.

Adults can talk to their doctor, gather the facts, and decide what they want to do.

Look at the Jehovah Witnesses, who makes their health decisions on whether blood is acceptable to save life. And how has that worked out.

I would remove authority from the FDA because it is just a few minds that make law for millions of doctors around the country. They can act as consultants only.

Trump did a good thing to send a withdrawal letter to WHO.

And forget all these wanna be "Experts" on social media who spend all day playing on their computer as professors in some University, and trying to sack the new freshman pretty girls that will do anything to get a passing grade..

Unfortunately In the United States each State is Governed by ONE Man State wise--the Governor. and ONE mayor in each city. The President can't interfere.

Old people that stay in New York are asking for the death sentence, just ask the old people in New York how Governor Como whom they voted for worked out

Oh wait, Como sent all the old people to nursing homes and locked them in and they all got Covid and died.

Or California- where Governor Gavin Newson has lock down and shut every business in the State, and just about everyone has lost their business, their jobs, and their homes because --------Covid is bad according to Governor Newson. And he doesn't plan to open till there is a vaccine. But protestors can still riot because it's part of the constitution. And if you are a personal friend you might get an exemption

The government has too much authority . In some states they still want to keep everyone home! There are a few local mayors that have bucked the state and say it’s still too dangerous to resume our lives. They have said even ONE LIFE to lose is too many.

Protect the people who are vulnerable to the virus, the rest, the vast majority, can go back to work / school / uni and restart the economy.

The death rates are low, the extent of the lockdowns are no-longer justified.

We should go off what the situation is now, not what it was 6 months ago.

We need to learn that some of the "experts" are not experts at all, the models are wrong and politicians are too risk averse for their personal careers and see lockdowns as no risk to them vs if they open up.

The fact that the news reports cases, and not deaths, and that the hospitals are no-where near regular capacity shows this is now a nothing-burger and we need to get back to work.

It's become a political issue, which is making things worse than it needs to be.

    This is informative.

Question: Why are there ZERO informative programmes like this about COVID on the mainstream media?

Also, notice that the curve has a name, because all flu pandemic follow a similar trajectory. Almost like the masks, the lockdowns and all the dancing around is just pantomime that has no effect - everyone ends up with similar curves (with some exceptions, like if you pack nursing homes of vulnerable people with COVID patients)

I agree with the statement, but that's dictatorship - Nazis are just as guilty of it as Communists.

As of October 2020, if you were Governor or President how would you handle this pandemic?? - Simon is basically spot on in his comments.

Seeing as I am not Simon, I'm LUHE, I'll give you my thoughts ...

People who are vulnerable to the virus should be top priority - so, I'm talking about elderly people, people who have underlying health issues, people who have immunity problems, and people who are HIV+. These people need to isolate themselves and/or have special attention focused on them.

Everyone else should get on with life, and should be trusted to act sensibly. First off, no closure of schools. Second, no arbitrary wearing of face masks at all, no arbitrary 2 meter rule, etc. Enough of the nanny state - people should be trusted to act responsibly without Government sticking their noses into people's affairs. So, no rule of 6 people limit to family gatherings this xmas (yes, we Brits have these British politicians coming out with this crap!).
