Less policing = more crime which leads to businesses leaving the area which leads to more deprivation and even more crime. The way to break to spiral is lots more policing. The police have to be the biggest, strongest gang in the neighbourhood with the best resources, the full support of politicians and a zero-tolerance attitude.

Of course Andrew Cuomo and Bill de Blasio think the exact opposite and therefore NY is doomed to a generation of decline.

Uh, RubaDub, Gerald Ford has been dead since 2006. If you're talking about a career criminal named George Floyd, a lifelong thug who sired a number of illegitimate children whom he never supported and whose last arrest was for passing counterfeit bills, then yes, his death was one of the false premises upon which the present unrest is said to be based.

To be clear, despite anything else, Floyd did not deserve to die in such a display of depraved indifference, especially since he was already in custody and no longer resisting. But there are plenty of others who died in even more egregious examples of police misconduct. They would have been much more appropriate symbols for the protests to rally around.

Regardless, the statistically rare and isolated instances of police abuse cannot justify the rioting, burning, and looting the country has suffered in the last few months. The ongoing insurrection in certain cities has nothing whatsoever to do with peaceful protesting.

    True !

Yes that should so but the police also shouldn't use an over amount of force in doing their duties, meaning dont over abuse that power, this is where proper training comes in.

Stupid mistakes can cost lives and then no one wins.

Wolverines I hope you haven't got a problem with the number 29. By saying 28 you are excluding 29 that's not efical.

The one positive note is that even with what is currently going on NYC is nowhere near as dangerous as the 70s and 80s.

Isn’t unemployment and lack of money a huge factor? Many of the lowest paid workers have lost their jobs and government support is coming to an end. What’s the solution? Give more support to people who have lost their jobs, and less money for wealthy business owners and to support the stock market? I’m sure there are other factors too, but the dramatic loss of employment and income during the pandemic must be a big factor in the unrest. Maybe the unrest suits Trump. Will he leave office if he loses the election? Or will he seek to postpone the election?

Wolverine 32 is no longer a number. It has transition to 46 and identifies itself as a word beginning with t.

So 31 is now followed by 33. Ok.
