The 'IN' families

One thing I don't miss about being a jobo, is those families that ruled the congregations.

I've seen how the elders protected their own using our old friend, nepotism.

EG. The son of an elder that stole a car and was prosecuted but 'let off' because it was kept secret and all his relatives were elders in the same congregation.

It certainly went on when I was an elder but I wasn't one of the 'IN' crowd. I know it still goes on.

I do not miss those egotistical and power loving hypocrites.

I know of an elder that had sex with a min servant's fiancee. He was reproved, she was DF'd. Never did understand why... it takes two.

And i only know of this because my ex-father in law is an elder and used to tell us lots of things after a few glasses of vino.

Needless to say, the MS marriage was off.

(For those in Liverpool, the elders initials was G.N).

Paley - It's good to know the 'happiest people on earth™' are truly as pure as they claim to be.

Oh boy, I've certainly seen how 'IN' families ruled the roost in a couple of the congregations I attended. There was a distinct divide between those who were 'IN' and those that were not.

Nepotism, favouritism, and of course only 'selected' families had the CO stay with them / or invite them to lunch etc - a toxic environment indeed. So glad I'm out of that nonsense.

Tallon - Yes. We've seen it all. Also, an elder that enjoyed porn but was very wealthy so he never got in trouble for it but always hosted fro the CO and his COW.

So glad I'm out of that nonsense.

    Oh, I can't agree more.

Crazy - The hypocrisy within this cult is really facepalmable when you think about what they claim.

It never ceases to amaze me how many elders daughters have managed to leave the org without being DFd. I know of at least 4 that left and are now living/married to non JWs and they're not being shunned at all.

Lets see....hmmmmm...an MS who was drunk driving and took out about 50 feet of fence. Nothing happened and he went on to serve at Bethell.

Another prominent elders son who knocked up a girl (he did marry her) and only got a public reproof.

And another elder whose 2 oldest daughters were known to give 'oral' attention to their boyfriends if given some liquor. Nothing was ever said of it, and if you tried to say something, you got black balled....

Nepotism? There is no such thing in Jehovah's organization. It is just disgruntled people who use that as an excuse for their own failings.
