Who has the best chance of defeating Bush in '04?

The Dems have been good at knocking Bush, but short on offering viable plans for the future.

    This, I agree with wholeheartedly.

I have always had a problem with the two party system. I don't think either really has a handle on things.

Still, Bush disturbs me. He's emotional and a good family man it seems, but incorporating religion into politics is dangerous. Trying to document our every move with the Patriot Acts is dangerous.

    The economy: not his fault.

The deficit: HIS fault. I would rather know that in 20 years that we have no debt, than get a tax break which equals a few pennies per paycheck.

I don't hate Bush, I just think that he's not the man for the job. I just want a generally more balanced president, who will look at long term instead of just what happens within his own term.

How about a Howard Dean/Wesley Clark ticket. That would be a serioous challenge to the incumbents.

Clark, like Dean, is a man who thinks for himself and also opposed the war, even though he was a 4-star general. Also, being a realist, national security will be one of Dean's weak points if nominated, whether we want to admit it or not, and having the former Commander of NATO on the ticket would be a huge plus.

For those of you not familiar with Clark, check out his bio here:

I worked under Clark when I was in Germany, I'm not too impressed by him, really. Then again I can say the same about Powell.

I was reading the book "The Bible Code" and if I remember correctly It said that Bush was going to win again. It also saiys that in 2006 there will be a nuclear holocaust.

    What do you guys think???

Exactly... although I think he is starting to see the consequences of his short-sightedness already.
