The Charities Commission and the Religious Not for Profit Governmental Organizations or whatever should be notified of this ,surely.

Wouldn`t it be a breach of their charitable status and or their Not for Profit religious standing ?

How about double dipping on Disaster Relief Supplies ,capitalising on the proceeds that should have gone to victims of natural disasters or equipments used to aid them ?

Salisbury NC—Disaster Relief Surplus Sale and Auction

(La invitación en español se encuentra más abajo)

(Please scroll down for the Spanish invitation)

The US Branch has arranged for a liquidation of surplus tools and building materials left over from the hurricane Florence disaster relief work. You are invited to a 1-day private sale for local publishers only on Thursday August 1, 2019. The private sale will be followed by a public sale on Friday and Saturday, August 2-3; then a final auction on Sunday August 4 at 11am where all remaining items will be sold. The hours are 9:00am to 6:00pm; at the Rowan County Fairgrounds, 1560 Julian Rd, Salisbury NC 28146. The GPS coordinates are 35.628119, -80.4835856.

Only local publishers and their families are invited to the private sale. You may pass along this invitation to the brothers and sisters in your congregation who may not have email access. A few non-witness buyers may be invited by the sales team. The large building at the fairgrounds will be filled with hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, kitchen equipment, electronics, furniture, building materials and more. A sample of pictures are being added here, tinyurl.com/NC-Sale-Pics, however, there are thousands of items and photographs cannot be taken of everything.

Please consider bringing a vehicle large enough to carry your anticipated purchases. Accepted payment options are Credit Card, Debit Card and NFC tap payments such as Apple Pay. No cash or personal checks accepted.

If you have any questions, please send an email to [email protected]. 100% of the funds recovered will be returned to the Branch to further Kingdom interests and to provide future disaster relief for our brothers and sisters.

Hope to see you in Salisbury NC!

    Fascinating.

So if I understand correctly, the operation works something like this:

A hurricane / national disaster occurs. WTS buys thousands or millions of dollars worth of overpriced equipment from Brother Kick-back's heavy equipment company.

Disaster relief ends. Rather than keep the equipment, they sell it off second-hand and pocket the money.

Then another hurricane occurs. Back to Brother Kick-back's heavy equipment company for a few million more in brand-spanking new equipment, which will be sold again in a few months.

    And so on.

    Nice racket.

I love how a 'few non-witness' members can be invited by the sales team! - Follow the money, as all changes in doctrine and any policies are always about the MONEY $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Disgusting- here in Canada several weeks ago, from the platform, the pubs were asked - all Canada- for use of their personal 5th wheelers that were not being used or donate them to the organization.

These huge rec homes are expensive! and yet, the society needed them to house those working on sites??? They added a note- Jehovah will bless you.… sick! The guilt trip they lay on people -- and they will get them, that's the sad part of it.

Any fool who gave, is going to be sorely disappointed when they go up for sale.

Looking at the pics a lot of the stuff is brand new never used. I could use a wheelbarrow without so much as a smudge on the wheel

    Will anyone ever catch on?

That means that their need for hard money is really acute !

FYI, 2019 hurricane season is just starting.
