I've been taking a break from being so involved here for a while - it's been useful to me. However, I don't run this site........I have the freedom to do that.

Not so for y'all. You married this baby. I'm sure that in hindsight.............you might have reconsidered this venture if you had had ANY idea it would have grown to monster size.

Spot on waiting. Sometimes I really think I've had enough of it all and want to tell everyone to "f.off" (honestly). We need a break sometimes or at least a lighter mood to remind us why we do it.

We've come a long way in a few years since this thing started eh?! It's easy to become "war-weary" and loose appreciation for the other people on here, something I am guilty of.

Simon, have you thought of taking a mini-holiday from the site, just to clear out the cobwebs? We all get to do that from time to time, and I was just wondering if it were possible to turn things over to the mods for a few days.

Personally I don't know how you've done it for, what now, 3 years? I would imagine the last year or so has been the most difficult as traffic as increased greatly. Actually this thread makes me feel a little bit better about a couple of threads where I've lost my temper.

There are people in the southern part of the US that are still upset over the Civil War which ended some 138 years ago. Some are still angry at Japan and Germany over a war that ended 58 years ago. What I'm trying to say here is, holding a gruge is stupid. Simon, apologie received and accepted by this poster.

I just recently made a post pretty much saying the same things, I had got caught up in it all and there were some thing that were posted out of cotext to what this board is all about.

You have never said anything to me or anything I had replied to so anyways I know how your feeling as I was already there. were cool dude...

Rather than trying to explain any and all actions to anyone and everyone who demands it, I will either ignore or simply delete such posts and things can be done via PM or Email.

Good idea.... life's too short, and frankly who has the time with thousands of posters. Thanks for all of your efforts to keep this site up and running, despite all of the emotions from everyone. How about a general amnesty and un-deleting all posters deleted during the 'war' months.... just a thought.

People (who will remain nameless) have made similar, totally bogus and unfounded allegations about me. Imagine that! My conclusion? People are idiots. I'm simply determined and confident. Or... pig headed & stubborn.

I think it's been pretty obvious (at least to me ) that I don't post here anymore for various reasons, one of which was the war stuff (aside from pimping the Green Bay Cheesehead Apostafest ).

However, I would like to say this: I will be forever grateful to both you and Anghard for your hard work, dedication, time, money, effort and seemingly very thick skin on this site. Without this site, I would not be as free of the Witnesses as I am today. I would not have met so many special people, formed friendships and just generally had a good time on the Internet for the last couple of years.

I have often thought about what a thankless job this must really be even considering the many that are truely appreciative such as myself. I am in IT and no matter how many people thank me on a daily basis, I still get worn down by the constant bitching and nagging of the others that are having computers problems and "blame" me. I don't know how you have done it this long.

Simon, I recall a comment you made recently, along the line of "sometimes I wish I was just another poster here."

I daresay that if you were just another poster here, your opinions would not receive the attention they do.

The thread I started a couple of days ago about "Fixations" was really about you, and what is imho a problem that some in this forum have with you (as the "president" ). Perhaps I was too subtle.

While I appreciate that you have the humility to apologise, imho you have nothing to apologise for. You are obviously as entitled to express your opinions as openly, and even blatantly, as everybody else here does.

Most important: I've never seen you indulge in personal attacks. That, to me, is the measure of the man you are.
