    ttdtt:

By the way - why does this letter look like its been cut apart and pasted to a WT letterhead?

Several Elders who are sending us letters are worried of (tracking codes) in the BOEs and are printing them out and then scanning them. This can make the ink quality weak at times. They believe by doing this a code would be deactivated.

Are you aware that the Watchtower is sending out BOEs from (last year) in order to find out the identity of those posting them?

An Elder and I received a BOE 3 days ago and the BOE was dated from 2017. A full year ago and we already have the BOE in collection.

If you look closely, you can see that some of the text in this BOE was originally in gray boxes. But when the Elder printed and scanned it, the gray box around the text gets weak.

Hope this helps some. Posting BOEs is not as easy as it used to be.

Here is the BOE they sent out 3 days ago from 2017. Almost exactly one year ago.

Interesting the efforts they're going to. Do they actually believe they can control the leak of information? They want a big organization, they want to control people's lives. This is par for the course. Information just can't be controlled like it used to in this day and age. Just go with it. Your truly loyal followers don't know it exists anyway and probably never will.

I also wanted to point out for those that didn't notice:

This isn't actually a BOE as in a policy letter, it's a response to a question that an individual wrote in. Also, as usual they dispicably send a reply to both the individual AND his BOE without his permission. This is enough to scare away anyone from asking sincere questions.

You are so right! Look at all the stuff they went to in order to find, identify, and close down avoidjw. They sent court orders to Google to get them to comply and give the name, address, and telephone number of Jason.

They tried to get Jason to sign a form, that he would no longer be involved in posting Watchtower literature for a period of 6 years.

Jason told them to forget it, he wasn't signing anything.

The Watchtower thinks they are God, and think they have a right to control peoples lives at a snap of their fingers or an article in their WT magazine.

That is a good point because even though there is a Watchtower letter-head, it would appear to be an answer to a question asked about beards.

    Thank you!

Which makes me wonder why the person who leaked it isn't worried about getting caught, seeing as it's a one of a kind reply letter.

The WT would certainly know who they sent that letter to.

Exactly, it's like asking to be disfellowshipped. Unless it's one of the elders on the body who leaked it, rather than the person who sent it. I guess that's how anybody could get out of being accussed of leaking a letter: claim it could be anyone on the body, or anyone who handled it at HQ.
