Trump suggests postponing the elections ... I'm not making this up

The problem with D Trump was that he was never prepared to hold such a powerful political position which usually is taken on by experienced acting politicians on the federal or State level.

His overbearing persistent ego drove him toward the presidency, the result is apparent.

Dealing with the open public scrutiny which the acting US President goes through has always been a struggle for him something quite unlike the private real estate development business.

It's hard to tell whether Trump is deliberately stirring Democrats up or whether he just tweets anything that comes to mind, but what is very clear is that he is not paying attention to or is not aware of the threat from the Republican party.

There is a huge contingent of the Republican party that absolutely HATE him.

They are lying low right now because they would prefer a Republican in office, but if Trump wins, they are ready to wrench the party right back from him.

I've seen and heard the complaining and planning firsthand.

Maryland's current Republican governor, Larry Hogan, just wrote a book, has famously disagreed with the president on Covid and, reading the writing on the wall, might be angling for the 2024 nomination.

    That would be my prediction.

He has a lot of popular support in a Democratic state and governs down the middle.

At any rate, come 2020, you will hear a lot more Trump hate, and a lot of it will come from Republicans.

If one looks at Trumps disregard for the law and constitutional authority, ie: "Shall produce: financial records, we can expect any loophole to be exploited against the country's interests. It doesn't scare me. I'd rather like to see the army drag his ass out of the White house.

Obozo was headed for a loss - bum ratings going into his campaign for 2nd term and miraculously Horndog Clinton pulled the rabbit out of the hat. Clinton is a saint compared to Obozo - the most corrupt president in the history of the US!

President Trump has still done more than any other President in the history of the US - he's been the victim of horrific corruption by the left.

RIGHT - you're delusional. The problem with Obozo he's corrupt and plays the race card even at funerals. He was no more qualified than a JW! He was groomed and they needed his socialist/communist appeal. He's no leadership nor has any business skills but lefties will continue to be in awe and love the corrupt mob rule.

Trump better watch out for what he's asking for. A good portion of his base support is among the older, more Covid-vulnerable demographic, and the virus is running rampant in many of the "red" states.

    GrreatTeacher ....

Yes, I bet he is. He talks coherently and doesn't call people he doesn't like childish names. He definitely seems and governs like a "normal" person, if there is such a thing.

He could lose a few pounds, but other than that, he seems like he is a very informative and viable candidate if he chooses to run.

Covid is killing many elderly in red states -- no hydroxychloroquine allowed unless one is a politician. It's the Dems perfect (out of the clear blue sky) storm! All the Dem politicians in NV are taking it and have throughout the Chi Com/Dem Covid 19 storm and the governor had 2 scripts filled at Walgreens when he 'thinks' he was exposed. The prisoners here were allowed the HXL, also. Of course, millions of weed money miraculously vanished but he refused to do a state-accounting - hahahah. It's only millions and that's chunk change for him and since it's a cash biz - oh well! He also ordered 2 new jets from Switzerland - I'm not sure if they belong to him personally or belong to the state.

Previous administration by most corrupt president in the history of the country Obozo didn't leave the health facilities in the US equipped, RESTOCKED, SUPPLIED, with one extra surgical glove! In fact, most hospitals were begging for personal supplies mos before COVID 19. No vents, masks, gloves. Personnel in NY hospitals had been silenced when begging for supplies before COVID 19 or before the masses knew of the outbreak. He left office with tens of millions of dollars and was able to fleece the country of billions in cash to Iran -- how many other Muslim buddies received plane loads of cash! We know Russia was certainly well taken care of by Ole Hil/Obozo. The world knows it.

I admit - Obama knows mobster rule and how to be a crook thus his great VP pick/relationship with Biden.

There sure is a lot untruthful sensationalized rhetoric on the forum these days, I guess politics does that to some people.

People become biased, prejudice, hateful, kind of like what happens when people join a religion.

As I understand it, late July is when the political parties start getting results from top-top-level professional pollsters, the ones who get paid large sums of money to produce very accurate polls (which are generally not released to the public).

July / August is when, if necessary, big campaign changes are made.

As an example, It was August 2016 when Bannon / Conway replaced Manafort as Trump's campaign manager.

My best guess, in addition to my previous post about the "get people talking about Trump's latest outrageous statement instead of say, 150,000 dead Americans from Covid or the economy contracting at an unimaginable rate or not bothering to even mention to Putin about the Russian bounties paid to the Taliban for killing American soldiers"....

...is that team Trump saw the "real" and far more reliable poll numbers, saw that if things remain as they are now, Trump will lose by 200 or more electoral votes, not to mention the popular vote by 10-12%. I.e., likely the most humiliating loss by a candidate since 1984, and the most humiliating loss by an incumbent since Jimmy Carter in 1980.

So, team Trump's "strategy", for lack of a better term, is to try to cast doubt on the legitimacy of the election, mainly so that when they lose, they can spin it into "See? We told you it was fixed" and then start up their own "b*tch about the damn liberals" media network and make gobs of money....

(Which, I think, was their real strategy in 2016. I don't think anyone on their team seriously expected to win)
