If the borgs survival is dependent on their tax breaks they have a lot less money than we think they do and they are way less competitive than a worldly for profit company.
I don’t think it’s the tax break on donations from publishers that is the problem. It’s the property tax on all their real estate holdings that would break them.
However worldly companies can buy, rent out, and hold buildings and sell at a profit when the opportunity arises without the free labour that watchtower gets.
Maybe the free labour isn’t so free and they should just start running their cult like an actual business.

If that's the case. The $heeple should ready themselves for a property sell off cash and grab.

Which dovetails with a couple things I’ve already heard.

Holy shit, I never even thought of that. 👍

That’s an even bigger incentive to sell off Kingdom Halls the moment they have an excuse.

Perhaps the Great Tribulation will not start with a worldwide attack on false religion, but instead, on the so called "only true religion".

The tax free status is the lifeblood of the organization. If it goes away,,,the Borg goes away.

As I’ve said a number of times here:

If the organization expended 0.1% of the effort it makes to avoid paying even one penny of tax into cleaning up its CSA issues, it would have by far the cleanest and most innocent organization on the face of the earth.

The JW concept of the ‘great tribulation’ is already such a mess, they may as well make up whatever they like about it. Its supposed timing, meaning, and order of events bears no similar to what the Bible actually says anyway.

But in the JW context, the ‘tribulation’ probably will at some point be watered down to just an ‘attack’ on JWs (more likely, blaming ‘Satan’s system’ when the denomination just becomes unsustainable), because otherwise it’s something that will just never happen.

Back in reality, the ‘great tribulation’ was in 66-70. Jesus was supposed to come back shortly after that. He didn’t. Time for people to move on.

Freedom of worship is indeed under attack when governments threaten to stop supplying the object of worship: $$$$$$$$$$$

I wonder if we're underestimating just how much money can be squeezed out of poor families and poor communities. It's the poorest people who learn to get by on as little as possible, allowing them to have something left over to try to buy their way into paradise. There are also a lot more poor around, so the collective amount to be made can be significant. And, let's face it, those who have money are sometimes the stingiest with it.

Maybe targeting the poor --and keeping them that way-- is working better than it logically should.

The Org was/is apparently hosting something in Florida for COs, covering potential changes in their “understanding” of Revelation.

Switching up that aspect would definitely be on the table.

Hosting something in Florida for COs and probably governing body?

    Of course.

Something in the fairest weather of north America. Where they can send the "holier" ones if/when the big sell-off happens.

Leaving the lowly rank and file to fend for themselves.
