  That is how much coffee me and another Elder went through as we camped out all night until 7 a.m. outside the home where suspected JW fornicators we're staying.

  Little did I know what a powerful contrast that would prove to be when as an elder I was faced with another case involving the allegation of severe child sexual abuse.

  We disfellowshipped the couple based completely on circumstantial evidence of sexual wrongdoing because they simply "stayed the entire night". They vehemently denied engaging in any sort of porneia much less outright fornication. Nevertheless according to our elder handbook and clear branch direction, we removed this "wicked couple" as a protection to the congregation.

  In contrast (and in accordance with our elders handbook and clear Branch legal and service desk direction) we did nothing to an alleged sexual abuser who would not confess to anything, but in graphic detail had described by the victim disgusting abuse at his hands.

  Perhaps there is another JW elder out there who walked in my shoes, or mine in his?

  Yes it was a lot of coffee, and yes we would get out of the car to pee in the bushes from time of time.

  Using that logic ("stayed the entire night") shouldn't you two elders have been removed for staying together all night in a car? You could have had sex in the car and fell asleep or stayed up talking as lovers are wont to do.

  Exactly Carla!!! Just the fact you had it in you to want to do that shit shows what you are inside. I knew of elders that refused to be a part of crimes like that. And yes I say crimes. The RCMP has a list of these crimes that asshole stalkers can be charged with and that's one of them. Religion or no religion.

  This happened to some people I know except it backfired on the elders. As an engaged couple her car was parked outside his place all night long and witnessed by 2 elders.

  Turns out she was having mechanical problems with her car and they had switched vehicles.

  Apparently horny, young adults don’t have sex during the day.

  The world is littered with JW's and former JW's whose lives and family lineage was ruined or forever altered at the hands of "unlettered and ordinary" Janitors, Carpenters and Window Washers masquerading as Bible Theologians and playing detective because they given the authority to deal with complex matters that even trained professionals wouldn't dare to handle on their own.

  In plain sight in a car at night? I don't think so. No defense at all. Many a couple has spent the night in a car and done the deed under the cover of darkness.
