When God created Adam and Eve and put them in the Garden of Eden it was then up to them to cultivate and take care of it ,God had no further hand in it .The responsibility rested with Adam/Eve and their offspring.

The same would be true in the Paradise to come ,God gets rid of all of us wicked people ,but then it is up to J.W.~s who are left on this earth to restore such a paradise.? Without god`s intervention.

Think of it , this system is gone with all its infrastructure.

8 Million + J.W.`s scattered throughout the earth with

    No communication systems operating

No internet ,WiFi, Skype ,Telephones ,Tv, Radio.

    No Sewerage

    no Electricity

    No Gas

No industry at all , nilch zero

    Cars,refrigeration,planes,Air conditioning,all gone

No food markets such as Coles Woolworths Aldis etc ,etc.

And if you want all of these things you need people to be able to work on these projects which is going to take their time and energy to do so and they will need to continue to work on these projects to keep these utilities going.

Do you really want to go back into a third or even a fourth world environment ? Sub standard to what we are living now ?

So then I ask you if you want these mod cons now as we appreciate them in the New System /paradise how is paradise going to be any different than what it is now ?

Or do you view Jehovah as a magician who is going to wave his hand and miraculously provide all of your needs.

God has never acted that way and their is no evidence he ever will.

First of all I don't believe it's only going to be JWs in paradise. There were Egyptians who left Egypt with the Israelites. Also Rahab and her family were saved.

Why wouldn't people be able to get to the level of technology that we have now, probably an efficient and cleaner version of it in paradise? If we were made in God's image and he's a creator, why wouldn't we be? I've never believed that the paradise would be like that. Obviously in the beginning it would be disrupted but we'll have solar and wind power and all the rest eventually. If it was done before, it can be done again.

And Jehovah didn't exactly leave Adam and Eve to their own devices. If he had no contact with them, why would the Bible mention that after they ate from the forbidden tree, they hid from Jehovah?

As for Jehovah been a magician, he provided mana and water from a stone while the Israelites were in the desert. How about the oil that never ran out for one of the prophets?

Smidster... One of my former favourite subjects!

Before I left I often used to spark heavy debates with those realistic truths of how communities and industry works... How going back to "frontier living" is just a fantasy for those who haven't lived it or more truthfully.. Survived it!

Where do those out of season veges and exotic fruits, commodities come from if everyone is on holiday in paradise ? Ore being mined for iron, copper etc to make the materials needed for building? Who's gonna run the bath of molten tin needed 24/7 to float the newly fired glass out onto to make the panes needed for the floor to ceiling windows of the imaginary penthouse of every publisher...??

The regurgitated line of "we'll have all the time in the world" doesn't and won't work even in utopia.. The only way civilisation works and has advanced is without divine influence and is a slow moving morphosis of the good in humanity and the slow understanding of science.

    smiddy3,

When China Family Panel Studies on 20,000 people across China between 2010 and 2014 compared the test results with the levels of nitrogen dioxide and sulphur dioxide pollution, they found a strong correlation that made them conclude that the longer the exposure to polluted air, the bigger the damage to the person’s cognitive abilities, specifically intelligence. Similar studies have pointed the same results in various countries. That means even if there is no end of the world happening as predicted by JWs, even the present situation would take us back to the same situation what you call asa third or even a fourth world environment.”

    Interesting.

Smiddy, are you sure that JW's teach that all the physical infrastructure of this world will also be destroyed at Armageddon?

The problem is that Paradise is magic wavy hand land. Any problem can be waved away. Any logical inconsistency is smoothed over by the wizard in the sky.

Everyone must at one time in life read John Milton's Paradise Lost. Consider this masterful description from Book IV:

    1. So on he fares, and to the border comes
    2. Of Eden, where delicious Paradise,
    3. Now nearer, Crowns with her enclosure green,
    4. As with a rural mound the champain head
    5. Of a steep wilderness, whose hairie sides
    6. With thicket overgrown, grottesque and wilde,
    7. Access deni'd; and over head up grew
    8. Insuperable highth of loftiest shade,
    9. Cedar, and Pine, and Firr, and branching Palm
    10. A Silvan Scene, and as the ranks ascend
    11. Shade above shade, a woodie Theatre
    12. Of stateliest view. Yet higher then thir tops
    13. The verdurous wall of paradise up sprung:
    14. Which to our general Sire gave prospect large
    15. Into his neather Empire neighbouring round.
    16. And higher then that Wall a circling row
    17. Of goodliest Trees loaden with fairest Fruit,
    18. Blossoms and Fruits at once of golden hue
    19. Appeerd, with gay enameld colours mixt:
    20. On which the Sun more glad impress'd his beams
    21. Then in fair Evening Cloud, or humid Bow,
    22. When God hath showrd the earth; so lovely seemd

...and by the time you get to the famous "Better to reign in Hell, than serve in Heaven" quote, you'll never want any of that JW fake paradise again...The parallel of the English civil war as a background for Paradise Lost could easily be swapped for a life wasted inside Watchtower's so called Paradise.

If its not, then who is going to maintain it ? and keep it going 24/7 ? Bros, and sisters will need to work round the clock to keep up with the living standards we take for granted today

What did Jehovah provide for the Israelites under Theocratic rule in Bible times eh ?

Nothing like what we in the Western world take for granted today with all the mod cons.at our fingertips.

Yes! "Jehover can do miracles!" is the JW explanation. They must refuse to have any rational thinking about it or their Cognitive Dissonance will kick in and they will begin to sweat profusely and have a panic attack.

I always figured that with everyone naked, we'd be too busy to worry about such mundane things.
