Another notable error on part of the WTS men is their growing cultivation of power and control over people which grew steadily over the decades, one might say these men got delusionaly drunk on power,

God's chosen ones directed by god's holy spirit as they say, a foundation to their own inherent corruption.

Whenever men come out and proclaim that, a human folly is usually in the works.

ie... thousands died from refusing a blood transfusion, possibility of millions of families broken apart.

God's chosen ones directed by god's holy spirit as they say ~ Rocketman

I did not see this mentioned until just now by Rocketman. TO ME, this is the greatest fallacy of all! Holy Spirit of an infallible, omnipotent deity could not fuckup so much on nearly everything they do or say.

When I determined that there absolutely could not be any truth to their claim of Holy Spirit direction, everything else fell apart. From the GB on down to every BOE, they are (at best) just a group of men trying to "do good" by how they understand the Bible (or are told to understand the Bible). At worse, they are just a bunch of power-hungry, pompous assed, egomaniacs. So it is with most every religion.

    FFGhost , Ephesians 2:8-10

" For it is by grace that you have been saved , through faith - and this is not from yourselves , it is the GIFT of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.

For we are God's handiwork , created in Christ Jesus TO DO good works , which God prepared in advance for us . "

Jesus, after his resurrection to heaven, waited til his enemies were placed at his feet in 1914 to become King. However, once enthroned "War broke out in Heaven" in 1914 and he hurled Satan and his demons down to the "Vacinity" of the earth.

    1995 Generation change.

I remember growing-up during the 1980's and early 1990's, It was 1914, 1914 generation is ''nearing it's end''. For decades the masthead on the Awake! magazine had that line in it as the 'generation that saw 1914' would live to see the ''end''. That was quickly dashed in the November 1995 Awake! and understanding.

They were even as bold and audacious to keep on stressing the end may be ''closer than we think''. That was spewed out around 1996-2000. Up through 2001 when 9/11 happened, well that's 20 years on now....

Building a 'church' hierarchy and belief system on a simple question. Who really is the faithful and discreet slave....? Of course that means the "governing body" can't you see that?

    Another thought came to mind.

The belief in a paradise earth is well and good. However, using that belief as rationale for not trying to improve your community and world now is a miserable and hurtful teaching. If God is going to take care of everyone in the future, then that only leaves us humans to take care of each other now.

Not to be forgotten is how unfair it is to expect people to hedge all of their life's bets on a future new world that we can't verify is true until we're already there. There is much more evidence that the world we currently live in is palpably, tangibly real than there ever could be that a future new world awaits or that one is even possible.

Why is it so wrong, even for people of faith, to live the one life we're currently living to the fullest? Then let the paradise come, if it will come, and let eternal nonexistence come, if it will come. That is, in fact, EXACTLY what the Bible tells us to do. (Ecclesiastes 9:10)

The Armageddon soon doctrine which the WTS has proliferated for over 100 years is impart one that builds the controlling power for the GB members.

The time of this system of things is short so here is what you must do to make yourself righteous in the eyes of god so you as an individual can make through to paradise.
