I had a Mercury Tracer for over 10 years and almost 130K miles. Faithful little car, but after being such a "responsible" exJW, I was ready to become a REAL apostate. Two years ago I bought a 2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse. A 2 door vehicle??? Yuppers - that's me! (((()))) Heehee! I positively love it! It's pretty basic, but it has what I need and a few extras. I love the sunroof in nice weather!

In 1985, I bought a Ford Escort, brand new, and I bought my wife a Mercury Linx. The two cars were identical. Mine was very reliable; her's was not. Found out later that they were built at different manufacturing facilities. Well, I drove my Escort until 1998, and had 210,000 miles on it. I had not had a major repair in two years. I was hoping to hit 300,000 miles, but the week before Christmas in 1998, a woman crashed a red light, totaled my car, and missed killing my by about a half a second, she hit the front of the car, not me, dead on the driver's door. Well, after that, I bought a 1994 Buick Park Avenue Ultra at four thousand dollars under book value. It had high mileage, but it was with one owner, and after driving my Escort, I knew that high mileage is not necessarily a bad thing. I have had normal maintenance and repairs, but nothing extrodinary. I love that car and the pure luxury it provides, especially after an Escort.

I have a 2002 Nissan Frontier. Not sure why I chose it, I was never really a truck person. My 91 VW Fox (was my ex's car, I'd never buy a VW for myself) busted on me and I Needed something quick. I was for a good price for a new truck. I had it for a year and I do enjoy it. Very comfortable and I've taken it all over CA. I wish it had more fancy things though, its pretty standard.

The next car I'm going to buy (probably lease cuz I go through cars too much) is going to be that Lexus IS300

Its a nice piece of equipment. I'll drop a turbocharger in it and have a lot of fun. Unless Chevy releases that twin-turbo trailblazer *Drool*

I've been waiting for the Evo VII to come out over here in the states, but I'm afraid they'll mod it so bad it will be a POS by the time its sellable over here.
