    Jehovah(tm) doesn't keep account of the injury but he's a blighter when it comes to field service time.

    Actually, I think "counting time" has always been - ultimately - about keeping the WTS's tax-exempt status.

    With hard numbers from the rank-and-file's door-to-door missionary work, they could show enough credible reports to the Federal government to qualify, without having to do other types of charity activities (which, frankly, the WTS has always been loathe do to, even as far back as Russel).

    However, there are solid numbers that show door-to-door missionary work works less and less as time goes on, logically, the WTS cannot help but find itself in a financial bind, because its business model has adapted and designed around its tax exempt status.

    Take that away, and then what happens?
