Well I know I may be opening a can of worms here.... But after what we were taught in the WTS about creation...and now that you may know more about evolution... which do you think you'd choose to believe more??

Myself...I am leaning towards evolution...but then I read things that make me think otherwise. So I do find it confusing sometimes

    What about you??

I used to lean more towards evolution. But after years of banging my head against a brick wall I've become a confirmed Cantgivaratsassavist about the whole thing. I sleep better at night when I don't have a lot of deep thoughts.

I believe there once was a god who created all things, but he created these things using the process of evolution. This god is as any child with a new toy. He got bored and left us, we are now on our own.

I am just starting to look into this subject. I originally believed in evolution, then as a JW in creation, and now I don't know. I think there must be a way of knowing - I would love to know for certain one way or another.

    Evolution or Creation??

It isn't necessary to accept either one or the other. Millions of people accept them both. While I personally do not accept the religious creation stories that I am so far familiar with, acceptance of evolution had nothing to do with it.

If a person wants peace they have to deal with this issue head on. The very ones whom we recognized when JWs as deceiptful and blinded by fanaticism, that is the Baptist born againers, are the ONLY voice decrying evolution as a Satanic conspiracy. The JWs selectively extracted quotes from the trash "science" writings of these enemies of theirs, ignoring that these writers condemn the JWs for having aposatasized and compromised in not insisting the earth is 6,000 years old. They routinely grossly misrepresent the facts pull quotes out of context and insult the sciences by their warped vision of history and geology. Their worst enemies are Richard Dawkins and the late Stepen Gould. Read their books and find out why.

"Climbing Mount Improbable" by Dawkins effectively and honestly discusses why science is unified in it's acceptance of this fundemental truth of life. Very good read and it will answer the question forever for anyone who has question. It is a best seller and available in most book stores.

At this point, I see no need to seperate the two.

If evolution is true, the Bible is false and should be discarded. To keep this simple and not get into alleged evidence, I state my case for creation in this way. If my understanding of the second law of thermodynamics is accurate, order always moves toward disorder. In other words, things in the universe were better yesterday than they are today. In order for one to prove evolution true, he has to prove the second (and first) law of thermodynacs to be false.
