Their days are definitely numbered. But that doesn't mean that they won't be around for a significant time into the future. Two decades ago when the WT stats said that there were 6m JWs worldwide, everyone was saying that they were running on fumes and that all growth was from children born to JW parents. The figure is 8m now, which surprised me greatly.

IMO, the dark lord is dead, he just hasn't shown the good grace to lie down yet.

Jesus is going to "put him (the WTBT$) down" soon, whether the WTBT$ likes it or not. He (the WTBT$) will not finish out his (WTBT$'s) days in "peace".

    2 Thessalonians 2:8

"the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence"

Everyone will know that the WTBT$ was not approved by God and Christ. The execution of God's judgment will be sudden and swift so that everyone will know Jehovah God did not approve of them.

The latest Thread about the disgusting Pervert Elder who has just got, rightly, 15 years in Prison, could well illustrate the dangers to serving Elders, the org. will throw those Elders who appointed the Creep under the 'bus. Or the Org. will face multi-million $$$ Law Suits, they hate that !

I shall watch for news on this !

There is a lot of legal issues that the WTBTS seems to want to hide here.

First of all is overall direction to record retention, as others pointed out, is a legitimate action, presuming the WTBTS is in charge over the corporations/officers (which they claim they aren’t). This basically returns responsibility over those records back to WTBTS.

However, giving such a broad directive, especially if it points out special subjects is almost certainly legally pernicious. In many cases, ANY record of criminal behavior should be retained until the crime is reported and the conclusion of any lawsuits, whether criminal or civil, suspected criminal behavior, usually 5 years after reporting to law enforcement.

If it pertains children, then there may be a statute which says for example that such records must be retained until the person is certain age, in Connecticut, it is 30 years after reaching majority. You can’t just destroy evidence if you know or should reasonably be expected to know a crime occurred. If you have notes on a suspected crime involving children, you need to retain the records a lot longer than what people often think.

    Hi again, @drearyweather...

I know you were concerned that the video with Shawn Bartlett might not be verifiable. If you are unsure if Shawn Bartlett is really a brother who is involved with records, you can hear both Mark Sanderson and John Ekrann on this excerpt from a talk regarding accounting...(John Ekrann mentions Shawn Bartlett by name and his department in the final few minutes of this clip which was originally leaked by "Warwick PIMO" earlier this week.)

Anony Mous: Not only should they not be destroying such records, surely there are criminal penalties for doing so? 🤔 Do the elders realise how much trouble they could personally get into if they are seen to be wilfully destroying evidence of a crime?
