A big CONGRATULATIONS on your disfellowshipping and freedom. As for the JW's:
Reflecting on my Disfellowshipping
Congratulations Kairos. You have a really great wife to support you in this. You are very fortunate indeed. Welcome to freedom of mind and enjoy the first day of the rest of your life. We all love and respect you here my friend for who you are - remember that unconditional friends are hard to come by in the organization that had us enslaved. You exiting the cult is THEIR loss, YOUR gain
Love and respect to you Kairos. You are among true friends here.
Back home from a night out.
We went to one of my rehearsals tonight. Big Band jazz/dance band.
Professional musicians and paid gigs.
She dialed in and listened to just the announcement.
It made her very sad, but there is finally closure.
We are spending some quiet time together and I don't have to work early.
After thought: Admit apostasy ASAP.
You get out, it shocks everyone else and might wake someone up to TTATT.
I half-expect the announcement to be made in the other Napa congregations, as this is fairly big.
I've been out 1.5 years, but still have numerous residual engrains. If you do too, you are not alone.
Good for you Kairos , it took me about 20 years to DA myself , welcome to true freedom.
One year later:
First I want to say how much this exJW community means to me. The support is genuine and comforting.
My wife ( dub ) and I celebrated our 20th anniversary all this week.
I survived and so can ANY OF YOU that are still-in and need an out.
Congratulations on your 20th wedding anniversary, Kairos.
Wishing you and your good wife many more happy years together.
I must admit, I never saw any of this coming, but it couldn't have come sooner.
I'm free of all the fake friendships. I can do as I please with out having to worry who sees.
That's a relief right there
