Would not the 100-year hype and "Will this Memorial be our last?" have contributed to the rise in 2014? -

2010 -> 2015 memorial attendance figures = +2.9% over the complete 5 year period or a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 0.57%
assumed US population* compound annual growth rate over the same period is 0.9%
The Jehovahs Witness religion is in decline if it can't even keep pace with population growth,

Memorial attendance down, meh-morial partakers up!
No wonder the re-branding efforts have been taking place. The WTBTS has failed to meet the religious needs of their people for too long.

Attendance varies years to year, as the chart from 2010 - 2015 shows. Which day of the week the Memorial falls on drives a lot of it. Weekends are typically better attended than weekdays. The 2015 memorial was on a Friday and was the 2nd highest ever in attendance.
That said, the chart also shows definite stagnation. Between 2011 and 2015, there is only a difference of 0.57%.
Memorial attendance is a sign of how "fertile the fields are" for JWs. Non-JW attenders are either "studies" or inactive / faded JWs showing up to keep peace in the family. Those are the 2 primary sources for any JW growth.
What the chart shows is that for the USA, JW growth will soon slow from its typical 1-2% growth to 0%.
JWs have just about reached the point that the increase from new/reactivated publishers is fully offset by death, fading, and DFing of active members. The slope of the curve will be negative before the decade ends.

I think it is also telling that the attendance is stagnant despite, what? 5 years now of "Special Memorial Invitation campaigns"?
Think of it - how many hundreds of millions of pieces of paper thrust into the hands of "householders", year after year, and attendance is still stagnant.
What an utter waste of time.

The memorial attendance for our area declined significantly last year. Our dear elders felt the urge to point out, even though most people probably did not notice or care. He said it was because we changed venues from a dance hall to the KH and people did not read the invitation.
LMAO!

If am not mistaken 2014 was the first time Puerto Rico and Jamaica became part of the U.S territorie that was the main reason for the increase in 2014.
