A wedding with no booze? Come on, where is the fun in that!

If it wasn't for liquor I couldn't have married my first wife.

I basically had 2 receptions, one at the resort where we got married, and back home a few weeks later. Since no family attended the first one, I feel the reception at home was really the only reception. We didn't have an open bar, so everyone who wanted alcohol bought their own. It was a wonderful time had by all, and if I had to pay for all the drinking, I would have had a very expensive reception.

This last year my daughter was married. We gave her a big reception with an open bar. The witnesses drank more than our non-jw family members. And, to top that all off, some of them didn't even give a gift! FREELOADERS!!!!!!

I had been to one wedding long ago where no liquor was served. It was very nice. But, let me tell you, at my daughter's wedding, I really needed those drinks!
