Most of the time I wear my opal earrings, and if I feel like it, the opal necklace that looks good with it. I just got an eternity ring, has 3 diamonds, one for past, one for present, and one for future. Love that ring!
I love opals. They seem to change colors with the color you are wearing with it. My opal necklace has a long history to it. My brother was hit by a car about 30 years ago. He was in the hospital for about 3 months. My brother got a crush on his nurse who used to come and bath him! He thought that she liked him too. They made plans to keep in touch when he was discharged from the hospital. They talked on the phone many times. So, he went and bought this opal necklace to give to her. SHE REFUSED IT!!! He was upset about it and asked me if I wanted it. Of course I said "YES!" I was young and it was the first piece of real jewelry I ever owned! I love that necklace down to this day, regardless it's sort of sad history. In fact, I am wearing it right now.
